I just bought an Nvidia Shield Portable Developer Prototype with Tegra X1 and 3 gb's of ram. Yes the Code name Project Loki will arrive at my home tomorrow.

Update: The Tegra X1 Shield Portable is on the way. It will arrive Thursday instead of tomorrow.

Edit: No wait, is this a different prototype than the one on eBay? The screen looks to be bigger than 5"

@Elronza Williams Jr. has purchased an nVidia Shield portable 2....the final and or 2nd prototype of the nVIDIA Shield portable 2 with a 5.5 inch screen.

Sony you are 100% correct, and thank you. AVahne the Shield Portable prototype you saw on Ebay was owned formerly by the guy in this video(link below), and had a Tegra K1 inside. Unlike mine that has a Tegra X1. Not to mention his never worked correctly and didn't have the Google-Play store, which mine pictured clearly has.

Did he have a video of it? The one I saw had physical buttons instead of capacitive buttons.
Still, you got yourself an amazing find! I would wish that more prototype units get discovered, so that I may get another chance at them lol
It'd be easier if Nvidia would just release a new Shield instead though........

It has arrived. I have it here now charging. I'll run tests and post the results later. Then I'll test different emulators and it's overall android ease of use and performance and any issues. I'm not stating the price as most would say why didn't you buy a Nintendo Switch and a ton of games lol.

Lol didn't buy a Switch because I don't like it's controller layout and the fact it doesn't use Android. Although Monster Hunter and Smash do have me with some interest.

Bad news. While I've gotten the device fully charged it has a pin code on it which the seller never informed me of, add to this the seller is ignoring my messages and I believe this device is stolen! Man talk about pissed. I've started a PayPal claim against the seller.

Don't know how? It isn't like the normal Shield Portable and has more in common with Shield Tv.

Not going to waste my time playing with it. I bought what was supposed to be a 100% working prototype not a passcode protected highly likely stolen device I can't use. I want my refund and no parts of this thing.
