LOL! Rubbing it in to us Moto Mod users huh, lol! ;D :'( :'( ;D

Congrats Though! Does it have a touchscreen button mapper?

It just uses the same Android mapping that the Moto uses.

I got my phone fixed.  I have to post some pics of the battery.  I kept it, and I am emailing Samsung about it.  Kind of pissed.  I barely use the phone, so this isn't a good thing.  My phone was gold, and now has a black back.  Looks interesting.

Just put the phone in the Gamevice and am very unimpressed with the design.  It uses an elastic, soft bridge between the two controllers.  This gives it less support on the S7 Edge than it should have.  The left controller is a little wobbly, which could be a bit damaging to the phone.  I'll need to see if there is a way to adjust the fit.

Oh, I need to try more games, but so far... I don't like it.  In Heroes of Loot, pressing the left Dpad causes the button action to stick.  Pushing too hard in a direction on the stick causes them to pop out a little.  There wasn't any wobbling while playing, so it seemed pretty sturdy.  Just not loving the controls.

As well, while the Dpad felt okay before, in use it is a bit too stiff.  I hope that works itself out.

I'm going to keep using it before I make that judgement.  So far, Heroes of Loot 2 isn't showing the issues the first version of the game did.  I was playing with the Dpad and it was responding well.  I think I had issues with the first version of Heroes with the GPD XD causing controller issues too, so I should have held off on that comment.

Anyway, still playing with it.  So far, only the sticks pulling up when I hit them hard is causing me any frustrations.  It doesn't affect the gameplay though.

Now I am liking it again.  So, go figure.  I'll give some comparison pics in a bit.  Is there a good place to upload them, or can pics be uploaded here?

I've attached some pics to compare the size and show the device.

1st) Gamevice and Nintendo Switch

While the Gamevice is a little wider, the beveled sides help keep it comfortable.

2nd) Gamevice, Switch, JXD S192 (top), 3DS, Vita, GPD XD

This was to give contrast to the other devices, and their controls.  It also compares size.

3rd) Triggers

Yup.

4th) Gamevice, Switch, JXD S192 (Left) Cube Mix Plus w/iPega PG-9023 (Right)

I wanted to show how big some devices can get, just to play games.  I prefer the Cube Mix Plus to the GPD Win any and every day though.

The dpad on this thing is garbage.  The analog sticks are nice tho.  It's a bit chunky.  Like the people who designed this thing don't really play games.

Why do I torture myself with these add-on attachments.

Why doesn't some manufacturer just make an awesome gaming phone with slide out gamepad.

I'll have a video review up soon.

The dpad on this thing is garbage.

Mine is working well.  Response is good.  I can do diagonals without issues either.  I played Metal Slug X for about a half hour with it with very little issue.  Feel isn't great, it's sticking out too far, and a bit stiff.  Is yours not responding the same way?

Diagonals are garbage on mine.  Wanted to give it a full day before the video review.  I'll demonstrate.

Also the stiffness of the dpad isn't too much of a problem.  My only beef with it is that is forces the left side to wiggle a bit.  The right side connection is great and stiff.  Feels like it's a part of the unit, but the left side has a bit too much play that, while I'm not worried it'll break or anything, it just feels unorthodox.

The left analog stick also makes a weird sound when I move it around.  I'll demonstrate in the video.

One thing that I thought was well done was piping the speaker to the front.  Sounds great without headphones.

I might end up returning it though.  Having used the Snail W3D for a bit, the dpad on that is really nice.  Might try to get the i7.

Sounds like they may have a manufacturing inconsistency.  I was worried about that from reading the Amazon reviews from some of their other devices.  My Dpad is nice and even, while yours sounds off center.  My sticks pop up when you push them hard, you love yours.  Things like this shouldn't happen.

I'm happy with mine, so I think I will keep it.  The only big issue I have is the way the left controller fits the S7 Edge (not a firm grip).  Doesn't move when playing, so I'm okay... but it should be something they fix.  I am thinking that the S8 Plus version may be better, since both S8 screens are curved.  This one is designed to fit the S7, so that is most likely why they have issue on the S7 Edge.

Oh, there isn't enough room on the right controller to allow for fingerprint unlocking without a lot of patience.  You may want to test on yours and mention that also.

Yup.  Our Dpads are very different.  I can tell you are forcing yours where mine just moves easily.  Mine isn't even really that stiff after using it for a day.  My right joystick just keeps popping out, which makes it too difficult to use.

We both have that left wobble of the entire controller.

My right controller isn't difficult to put in, like yours is.  That could be due to it being a little smaller a phone though.

My MicroUSB on the right controller is off also.  I didn't even notice it until your video.

My sticks are my biggest issue right now.  I may just tear this apart and put it back together better.

Well it's pretty simple when opening it up.

not really too happy with that bare wiring.  Also the analog trigger isn't analog at all.  So... thats another silly design.

Congrats! I'm inspired now, but the Moto Gamepad isn't as user friendly. There's no clear way to open the mod.

Hows the controller working for you now? Is the modification holding up?

Yea it works.  I really dislike attachments though.  I forget to carry it with me.  I glued the top part shut, since just unscrewing and re-screwing destroy that post.

I still don't recommend the GameVice.  But I've made it workable.

I see. Sorry to hear. I'm not a fan of attachments either. The Moto Pad and Logitech Powershell are more like cases, so it's acceptable. I wish Gamevice had a case instead of an attachment. I understand no case for Android, but at least for iPhone since the design is standard.

I've been wearing down the D-Pad for the Moto Pad and so far it's working. The presses are registering quicker now and I was able to do some diagonal movements. Hopefully I can fix it without opening it up, but the screws are behind the red sticker if I need to go that route.

Sorry I haven't chimed in yet.  I really haven't had time to play with it.  Been stocking up on hurricane supplies, protecting the house, dealing with those things.  I'm just outside Orlando, FL. so I will probably mess with it more when the power goes out.  Until then, be safe everyone.

LD and your family, please be safe.

Thank you Sony.  We are well prepared, but are nervous of this one.  I really expected to open the controller up by now and see what is different with the builds, but I've been spending the week getting supplies.  Since most of the stores have been cleared out since Tuesday, we've been checking each one daily to see what's arrived.  Most stores have have daily trucks with supplies arrive.  It's been really crazy trying to find everything.  We got lucky and stocked though.
