Thanks my friends - I've updated the list.

As I've gathered some experience now for a couple of week I guess that it is time to to share my current setup on the JXD S5110 with you including some reasons

Amiga 500:

UAE4Droid (free)
Remarks: Performs well and is free

Atari 2600:

Ataroid (free)
Remarks: Does the trick for me and I kind of like the icon

Capcom Play System 1 (CPS1):

Jrioni Arcade (commercial)
Remarks: Not many other options here

Capcom Play System 2 (CPS2):

CPSEmu (commercial)
Remarks: Nice recommendation from Skelton - This is worth the buck

Colecovision:

ColEm (free)
Remarks: Free version performs well

MAME:

Tiger Arcade Emulator (free)
MAME4droid (0.37b5) (free)
Remarks: Can't decide at the moment and Tiger Arcade seems to support more roms

Nintendo (Famicom):

Nesoid (free)
Remarks: Performs better than the .emu on the JXD S5110

Nintendo GameBoy (Color):

GBCoid (free)

Nintendo GameBoy Advance:

Gameboid (free)
Remarks: Good performance for me, only the Shoulder Button+Direction Button Mapping causes trouble but there is a good workarround

Nintendo 64:

N64oid (commercial)
Remarks: Performs better than Muppen for me on the JXD S5110

Neo Geo (MVS):

NEO.emu (commercial)
Remarks: There is no real alternative in my humble opinion

Neo Geo Pocket:

NGP.emu (commercial)
Remarks: No alternative and I like the clean interface of the .emu emulators

PC-Engine (TurboGrafx-16):

PCE.emu (commercial)
Remarks: No alternative and I like the clean interface of the .emu emulators

Sega Game Gear:

Gearoid (free)
Remarks: Good performance for Master System and Game Gear Emulation

Sega Master System:

Gearoid (free)
Remarks: Good performance for Master System and Game Gear Emulation

Sega Mega Drive (Genesis):

Gensoid (free)
Remarks: Performs better than the .emu on the JXD S5110 and there is no sound/input lag

Super Nintendo (Super Famicom):

Remarks: Good performance - Need to decide which one I will keep. SNesoid performs a bit better

Remarks: Did not try any other alternatives

Remarks: I'm not happy with it, but there's no alternative

TigerArcade is rather a shareware- to unlock all possibilities you have to purchase unlock code (at least Options menu says so).
As for Mame emulators- there is also Mame4droid reloaded based on MAME 0.139. It requires more CPU power but supports just about every rom "desktop" Mame does.

Collen always gives me a problem with 5200 games. It says no bios is found but it is selected and is the correct bios. If anyone has it working let me know

As far as I know it's the only ZX81 emulator out there and it works perfectly.
I had a ZX81 as a kid and learned how to program on it.
If anyone doesn't know what a ZX81 was, it was the predecessor to the Sinclair Spectrum but unlike it's successor it didn't have colour, sound, or (documented at least) high-resolution graphics.
Not great for gaming then, but it did get one bona fide all-time classic in 3D Monster Maze.
I recommend anyone to get this emulator and get 3D Monster Maze and to wonder at how good it is considering the hardware it ran on.
The game did need the 16k ram pack though, the ZX81's unexpanded 1k of memory just wasn't quite enough!

I'm going to make some videos showing emulators on the JXD S5110. So if any of you want me to test out a particular emulator, or a a particular game on an emulator, just say and I'll try to fit it into the video.

I think Ataroid works with Atari 400/800 roms by the way....unless I've got the version of Pole Position mixed up.

Please add sections for Atari 8-Bit, Intellivision, and Odyssey?. MSX should also be moved out from ColecoVision and put into its own section.

I'm also in agreement that Robert Broglia makes the best emulators for Android _if_ you put emulation accuracy above everything else. He really knows his stuff, and his stuff is worth the price.

P.S. You know what else would be very helpful? Compiling a list of all the top Android games with virtual controls that we can map to the physical keys using key mapping software used in the JXD S601, S602, and upcoming Archos GamePad. Maybe this can be added as another sticky thread. There are probably tons of Android games out there that are a pain to play because they only support virtual controls, and now they can be revisited and enjoyed much more after having mapped the virtual controls to physical buttons.

Sorry, I think I posted this in the wrong spot here.

On the YDPG16 and YDPG19, etc., I have installed the ColEm coleco emulator which will start "with no file selected" which boots the emulator, but...

I have tried and tried to get it to see coleco roms I downloaded but it does not seem to see them.

Anyone know what file extension they are supposed to be in? Has anyone out there gotten this to run who can help me?

Colecovision anyone?

***oid emulators dont support some games, i tried kirby on snes and it doesnt support the game on snesoid, it works fine under snes9x EX emulator, also i prefere to use NES.emu and MD.emu applications for nes and megadrive because i noticed some problems sometimes on gensoid and nesoid when i pressed the screen and it didnt accepted input, so when you want to jump over something and you touch button on screen but it doesnt register then its not nice, dont happen too often but it happens with ***oid emulators.

Anyone got an Amiga 500 emulator running?
I tried both UAE4Droid and Omega 500, with different versions of kick.rom (1.2, 1.3, 3.1), and couldn't even get the Amiga to boot at all

*EDIT* Also, the first post just made me realise MD.emu supports SMS ROMs, neat! How come it doesn't support GameGear though? Or maybe that's something better asked to the author.

My understanding is that the MegaDrive/Genesis contained Master System hardware but not GameGear hardware. The GameGear actually had an expanded colour palette over the Genesis.

Ah, I was asking because my understanding was that the GameGear hardware was identical to the SMS hardware, except for the video output.
Actually, I just tried this: copied Baku Baku Gamegear version, renamed it, loaded it with MD.emu, and it does work except for the colour palette.

About the Amiga emulator (UAE4Droid), nevermind what I said: it DOES work, but it's very VERY slow to load, and the stock UAE option to speed up the floppy drive is unfortunately not available in the Android port

You should try this emulator that is finally being worked on for android:

It is Uae4all2 that is made for Pandora and is ported to android

. I am confused why anyone didn't write about it on this forum yet. Last update on 15.12.2012.
