Author Topic: [ROM] Skelrom v1 for Yinlips G16 ICS (CWM) (Read 21947 times)

These files are delivered as they are, so use it at your own risk. Flashing this ROM is your responsibility.
Very important, you need to be in stock ICS firm and root before flashing this rom.

Main features:
-   Based on last official ICS firmware.
-   Fully Rooted (at kernel level, ro.secure=o in default.prop)
- All chinese emulators and software and stuff removed.
- Full google Play (or almost I think)
-   Autozipalign at every boot
-   Trebuchet launcher added
-   No need of Game Manager at all.
-   Emus and apps installed in data/apps (can be upgraded or uninstalled easily if you don't like them)
-   Emus included and installed: GameBoid, Nesoid, Gensoid, GbCoid, Gearoid, Snesoid, Snes 9x, Tiger Arcade.
-   Apps Included and installed: Youtube, Flash Player, Novotools
-   Init.d support
-   Modules support: Module for XBOX 360 wired pad, PS3 dual shock 3 pads, uinput for Droidmote, USB GPS and Bluetooth dongles. (my bluetooth dongle doesn't work, but maybe work with yours, so not sure if this works or not).
- Init.d support.
-   Battery shows percentage now
-   Jelly bean font by default.
-   Partitions changed. Now internal memory becomes extsd and our microSD is sdcard.
-   Some build.prop tweaks to improve screen responsivness, wifi responsiveness, and make better ram consumption, etc
-   English language by default (you can change that easily)

if you have some data that you want preserve, do it before installing the ROM.

INSTALLATION:

-   You need to be in the last ICS firm and need to be rooted.
-   Copy recovery.img to the internmal memory, and Skelrom v1 g16.zip to our microsd card. Then install NOVOtools.
- Open novotools and choose flash recovery, wait for a few seconds and then select reboot recovery.
-   In CWM recovery use the Analog Stick to move: Down to select options and Power to enter each option. Analog left to go back. Select Wipe Data, Wipe cache and Dalvik Cache.
-   Then select install update.zip from sdcard, select Skelrom v1 g16.zip and once installation finishes, select reboot system now.

CONSIDERATIONS:

I?ve not included any paid apps or emu in this release nor will I do in the future, because of legal terms.
in this sense i don't include FPSE or n64oid necause they are paid emulators
First boot is slow, but it's normal because of deodex and since most apps are being installed during first boot. Next reboots will be OK.

I?ve included a folder called Extras that includes the following:
-   keylayouts for shadowgun and similar apps and "Xperia" Layout. Just copy the vendor.kl to system/usr/keylayout.

I tested that SDcard must be fat32 or CWM does not mount it.. NTFS does not work.

I have problem with that play market . It think that i have not bay any apps like FPSE shows price not download. :F

Try deleting your account and adding it again. This is a common issue in google play. Has happened to me in other devices.

hello "skelton" thank you for ics rom is working perfectly (it is very light)

just have a problem (do not know if a case and insulator)

the battery indicator here is only 100%, no way not download the indicator

do you have any solution for that

ps: in version 2.3.4 the battery indicator works normal

Probably your battery is bad calibrated, because it is working fine for me. You can try enter CWM recovery (with Novotools) and go go to advanced options and wipe battery stats. That may help.

hello Skelrom did what you said and it did not work, the status of 100% down to 99% .. I left all night bound to see if the battery discharging (the percentage dropped only 1%)

PS: Do not want to go back to 2.3.4 (rom and its perfect)

This is really weird. Probably battery discalibrated (this may happen some time after a flashing). Maybe you can try reflashing it again. Or use a program to calibrate it, like battery calibration from google play. Or trying to install the stock ICS firm and then the Skelrom again.

Yeah, it means that battery is bad calibrated and system is not able to read status. Try reflashing or use battery calibration, app for google play. When batteries discalibrate, normally it's a sign that battery is not in a very good condition.

not worked .. I think my yinlips must okay with some bug that ICS (because I install the ICS (original) and SkelRom (custom) and gives the same battery're not crazy ..

when I put the battery gets Android 2.3.4 normal, so I do not understand ...

ps: your rom is perfect (I recommend to everyone)

EDIT: the battery is over 94% and yinlips resigned ... my only alternative and find an app that let me know when the battery reach 95% before the yinlips if off and run to put it there to load. Do you know any app that does this battery, check the battery percentage

mamertouch, yes, it seems that something is wrong with your battery. The last idea that comes to my mind is make a full charge with the console off and then make a reflash of the firmware.

I left the battery at 100% and then reinstalled SKelRom and yet still the same thing .. I'll stick with it anyway

to enter the android here takes 1 minute and 40 seconds (amazing).

ps: even with this problem my battery crazy yinlips. thanks man
