The "i received my Caanoo" thread !

Hey guys,

good news, the doorbell rang at work today, and guess what it was UPS with my CAANOO !!! I ordered it during the weekend in Ed's shop (germany) and it's already in my hands right now !!! i'm amazed

The caanoo feels al lot sturdier compared to the gp2x, i remember when i first held the gp2x it felt like a childs toy that would easily break.

I briefly turned it on for a minute or so and i really like it's menu system as well ! can't say much more, since i'm at work and can't really play with it and i don't have time this evening either

So how was your "i received my caanoo" experience ?

+1 to that state, if i did it'd mean even less time for dingoo work, and distract me from the pandora for a good few days a week >.<

I read some Review of the Caanoo. But I really want a hardware comparsion to the Dingoo.

Could you make a comparsion review? (Not software, due to the lack of caanoo software of couse).

i'm too lazzy to do that kind of stuff, besides you know the dingoo and all info related to canoo you might need (to compare yourselve) is availible here : http://www.gp32x.com/board/index.php?/topic/55256-the-caanoo-information-thread/ the only thing that is not listed is that it has a gpu (dingoo does not so byebye dingoo for me) but i'm not really certain, but wiz had it so it should be really stupid to leave it back out now.

I just got mine and am copiing over my mame roms to test. The build quality is awesome
I will get some pics and maybe a video if i can put it down long enough

i do have a problem with my pc not recognizing the device, not even as an unknown device, but i haven't rebooted yet, kinda lazzy atm & watching tv (on pc)

If a lot of people from Dingoonity get a Caanoo, what about to extend this Forum a bit? Maybe a Subforum for Caanoo?

Development diskussions should be in gp2x forum. I think its a better place for gph development issues.

Has the Caanoo nand, that is accessible? As far as I read, the 2 GB nand of the Wiz are not on the Caanoo any more.

well, another CAANOO arrived in France 2 days ago but no time to play with it too much yet. Good feeling though even if my 2 wifi dongle, ralink's type, don't seem to respond.

But a bit let time for the little sis DINGOO. And I still love my JXD's !
