Super cheap JXD3000 (branded EGP1000) for $9.99USD!!!
« on: December 04, 2012, 01:28:28 pm »
http://www.eachgame.net/scare-buying.html

Eachgame is selling their EGP1000 portable gaming system in limited quantities for only $9.99.

I think the EGP1000 was a bit of a financial flop for Eachgame, and they're trying to shift their old stock (300 pieces). For those that don't know, the EGP1000 is for all intents and purposes a JXD3000 with a different UI skin and some very superficial hardware differences (button placement, for instance).

Of course, the JXD3000 isn't exactly a powerhouse, but at this price who can resist?

To clarify, I am in no way affiliated with Eachgame. :P

It's 9.99 + shipping!

Which is (for europe):

EMS  US$27.18

Registered post  US$9.79

DHL  US$22.05

HK DHL  US$18.75

hmm.. for $19.78 (9.99 + 9.79) it starts getting expensive.

Sorry Zibri, I have no idea what the firmware is or where you can download it. There doesn't seem to be much info around for this, which is weird considering it's been around for a while.

If I receive this first, I'll post a full review. Although there are probably many reviews online already for the JXD3000.

Think I remember this one as running PS1 games pretty early on, like before the influx of Android consoles. Looks surprisingly not-crap for the money tbh.

Kinda highlights the difference between the old JXD PSP knockoffs with abysmal factory firmware and the Android ones with ace Skelroms nicely I think.

hmm.. so, do you think it can be loaded with JXD3000 firmware?

or do you think the firmware is on the included cdroms/dvds ?

I'm really curious. Since I love '80 and '90 games like gyruss, dokey kong, mspacman, scramble, etc etc

I think this should be more than enough.

Not sure what it's running, just remember the Tekken youtube video from the time. Apparently it just does PSX (not great on 3D) and GBA.

Also IIRC there was a link to a site where all the compatible PS1 ISOs could be downloaded, also I think it came with a disc with some pirated games on (unless my memory is failing of course!).

This website has A LOT of negative feedback from their customers. Just google it out. I'd advise anyone to read it before shopping there.

hmm I only wish to run M.A.M.E. on it.

As I said I'm only interested in classic retrogaming.

@zear...I've bought from eachgame on several occasions. Shipping is slow, but everything arrived eventually, and in good working order.

From what I can tell, it runs GBA, SNES, and PSX games. If anyone can work out what SMC stands for...it plays those too :)

2D PSX games appear to run pretty smoothly on the JXD3000, but 3D games run slow to the point of unplayable.

I agree, it's a shame MAME isn't supported; but thankfully there are a bunch of arcade ports on PSX.
- Xmen vs Street Fighter
- Mortal Kombat II
- Metal Slug
- Real Bout Fatal Fury
- Street Fighter Zero 3
- Super Puzzle Fighter II
- The King of Fighters 97, 98, 99
- The Last Blade
- Cyberbots
- Galaxy Fight
- Outlaws of the Lost Dynasty
- Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
- Gundam Battle Assault
- Marvel Super Heroes
- Darkstalkers
- Guilty Gear
- Street Fighter Collection
- Capcom vs SNK 2000

And if you're into old school games there's also:
- Capcom Generations (including Commando, Gun Smoke, Mercs)
- Arcade's Greatest Hits (including Defender I & II, Joust, Robotron 2084, Sinistar, and Bubbles)

Incidentally, there are still retailers online that are selling the JXD3000 for $100+

.smc is Snes.

Would be surprised if the Snes emulation is any good tbh.

Review here says PS1, Snes and NES (patchy):
http://www.mp4nation.net/forum/f59/jxd-3000-review-15581/

Firmware update for JXD 3000 here adds GBA:
http://www.jxd.hk/download.asp?selectclassid=020

Might not be too bad, cheap enough anyway!

EDIT: Clawshrimp you might wanna remove that link to roms, pretty sure eachgame hasn't paid for distribution rights for them!

the jxd3000 is a terrible machine. for $10 it might be worth it if you don't have another handheld that can already do these things, but for $10 + $10 shipping it's just not worth it.

Thanks lemmywinks...I've removed the link.

From what I can see, GBA is supported out of the box; but I'll confirm this once I receive it.

No problem gibberish. I agree....this isn't for everyone. I personally already have an Xperia Play and JXD S5110, and bought this purely Eachgame thing as an impulse, purely as a novelty.

fw should be one of these:
they contain a file with extension UPG.

Unless it's this one: http://jxdcc.yesigame.com/enupload/20110927/3000.rar  but 190MB seems a little big.

There is also: http://jxdcc.yesigame.com/enupload/chengxu/3000(7670).rar

and

hmm I canceled my order. I analyzed the firmware and it doesn't seem a linux/android mod friendly OS.

I think I'll wait for the archos gamepad or get a JXD 602 in the meanwhile.

I bit the bullet and bought 2 (got around the 1 item per customer limit by getting 1 red and 1 pink). If both work, one will go as a birthday present for my daughter. Also got a USB PC gamepad for $3.29 (at that price, I'll be happy if it just arrives intact) and a 16GB micro SD card with SD adapter for $12.43. Used the cheapest shipping method to US, so I guess I'll be lucky if the package arrives before the end of the year.  ???

Although I probably won't be doing much gaming on this once my GCW-0 arrives, I'll probably still be lugging this around too just to watch video on its 480*272 4.3'' TFT screen.
My machines:
GBC,GBA,GBA SP,NDS,NGPC,Panasonic FZ-10 3DO,NES,Sega Nomad,Sega CDX w/Power Base Converter,PS1,PS2,PS3,Saturn,Dreamcast,PC (Win 98, XP, 7),Dingoo A320,Dingoo A330,Gemei A330,LetCool N350JP,PAP-GAMETA,GCW-Zero SE,Kyocera Rise,2DS,GP2X-F100,GPD G7,JXD 100,JXD A1000,JXD A3300,JXD F3000,JXD V5000,JXD S7300B,Hyperkin SupaBoy

Currently playing: Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call (2DS)

My order shipped yesterday (pretty quick for eachgame.com) but I'll be lucky if it arrives before Christmas.

At this price, I'm considering the unit to be essentially disposable. I'll fill it with GBA ROMS, a handful of choice PSX arcade games (Metal Slug, Xmen vs Street Fighter, etc), and maybe a couple of movies. My daughter will no doubt play it more than I do; and I certainly won't have much need for it once the JXD S7300 is in stock :)

I'll post my impressions once I have it in hand.
