How would you use wireless keyboard without bluetooth on the device?

They dont have a dongle that you can plug on the USB?

Have you had a look at the update.zip a few posts above?
Is it identical to the release fw? Is it an update?
Possibility to make a prerooted ROM of it?
The link is so slow to download and when it does finally finish it gives a crc error.

I have downloaded it, and it seems CRC is OK.

I have uploaded it here:

ok the OFW coming !!
unzip recovery.zip.  copy it and update.zip in root directory . hold Start + Power

Is this an update, or is it the SW that is already preinstalled on the yinlips?

Has  somebody tried to make a prerooted version of this firmware?

I did not have this issue but I had a issue with the keys sticking. I cracked it open and reseted the dpad and rubber underneath. That fixed my issue

Quote
I had that problem but the wipe data factory reset fixed the issue. Not sure if it will work for you though. Do at your own risk. It will wipe all third party apps but root will remain

I opened mine too and made sure the buttons are well placed, but problem still occurs.

Also tried wipe, update to latest firmware and wipe again.
I also removed everything I could until I had a bare bones system with just the needed things present.
Both problems still present :(
I'm out of ideas.

Edit: I also found out the update process has a check that prevent you from downgrading your firmware ^^

Edit: I also found out the update process has a check that prevent you from downgrading your firmware ^^

Can you elaborate a bit?
How did you notice the check?
Where did you get 2 versions of the firmware to check this?

I fear that my yinlips will make it here only in 2012 :(

You get an error like this :
assert failed: !less_than_int(1277930906, getprop("ro.build.date.utc"))
E: Error in /sdcard/update.zip

thanx.

The update has the following date string:
ro.build.date.utc=1322661641

Maybe it is enough to edit the build.prop file, when you have rooted the device?
(eg. set build date to 1 sec. smaller than the date of the update you want to install?)

Also has somebody any idea what has changed between the 2 versions?!?

Question here.  Just updated N64oid to the latest version, but for some reason I cannot get the DIRECTION keys to remap.  Example.  I remap the keys and in Mario Kart I cannot steer the cart, even tho I have mapped left and right to the left and right on the Dpad.  I CAN use left and right to go through the menus and select character, etc, but I can't steer with the Dpad.  What did I mess up?

Thanks,

X

Nvm. I figured it out. Yeah, after I rooted I used Titanium Backup to remove the outdated emus. Then use MUST reboot before you can install the updated versions or it will give you an error.

Does anyone know if this device will support Xperia Play optimized apks? Will the Dpad and buttons function justas they do on the Xperia play?

That's because most N64 games use the analog stick, not the D-Pad.

Yinlips g16 has been anounced. New features: a smaller screen of 4.3""

They don't say anything about the controls yet.

It looks like they're improvisizing consoles or something. Maybe someday they hit the motherlode by chance.

I figured it out. Yeah, you can map the Dpad to the analog stick. N64 rocking now.
