JXD3000
« on: November 24, 2010, 12:08:55 pm »
Well guys, JXD attacks again. Now, they've released an another PSP knock-off, called JXD3000. But, incredibly, it looks like that this machine is powerful.

Look at this video:

And here, the specs:

Emulation of Tekken 3 looks a bit poor. Watch how slow the clock is ticking down. My guess is its running at about 66% normal speed.

For reference - here is Tekken 3 running on a PSP. (apologies for the crap picture quality and playing one-handed) ;D

But at least, as I could perceive, it runs with sound, unlike in Dingoo.

HDMI TV-out?  :o   ;D

"The game supports HDMI output, comparable to console. Output picture and sound the same effect as with the professional home console. JXD3000 the game is actually output to the TV to play better. Currently only the home console market, SONY PS3, Nintendo WII, Microsoft's XBOX360."

images, links and video blocked here at work. tekken 3 as in ps1 tekken 3?
that is kinda exciting, i have to admit... such a shame that jxd don't support their devices though, because their software is usually poor.

it's about time chinese manufacturers stepped up their game and started introducing machines that can do more than basic snes and gba emulation so thumbs up for that. unfortunately it'll probably still be a piece of shit like most JXD devices are.

Yeah! They can release a new handheld powerful enough to do psx emulation with sound. Why can't they do something seemingly simple like release a firmware that has correct button mapping for the countless devices they already have on the market?
I have a Jxd 300. It's a well built little unit but because of button mapping almost entirely useless for emulation.

How fast is emulation? Same speed as normal PSX?

Can you make a speed test?

How is Sound?

What Games/ Iso's are supported?

Other Systems supported?

Can you make a good long review?

according to most the chinese forums this thing has an actions chipset inside it, but what is written on that chip in the lower right? it looks like it might say ingenic... though it must be too small to be the processor i guess?

but also, it looks like this thing is laid out in a very similar way to the board that ddu is working on, which makes me wonder...

Pretty general stuff there. Wonder when they will release some real specs. Cpu, Ram etc. Not even a list of Emulators included.

With devices like this you don't have access to the source code of the emulators, so you're left with laggy emus for ever. If i had a choice, I'd choose Dingoo over this as you can always improve psx4all.
