I've only seen it once or twice, if i remember correctly i either tried it again as is or tried it again on a smaller group of roms.

Whatever i did, it was an easy fix, that's for sure.

There is slow-down, but that can usually be adjusted in the emu menu, particularly effective for the occassional slow NES game.
I was thinking about GBA games.
Anyway it's better to use standalone emus, built-in are seriously outdated (already were when I purchased SuperCard).

I think the main thing Supercard-SD has over EZ flash IV is that it has batch patching, so you can patch ALL of your GBA roms at once for use, whereas, from what i hear, on the EZ flash IV you have to do them one by one or something to that effect, correct me if i'm wrong...
Yes, SuperCard client does batch operations, EZ4 doesn't.
Both flashcards do have their pros and cons but I prefer EZ4- kinda fire&forget solution (auto savegame saving, no slowdowns)

Cyclo DS Evolution was better, but last I checked they had pulled a disappearing act...  I forgot to add my own extras like the Evolution, and Super DS one SDHC... still contemplating one of the card with an extra ARM CPU, but reallyh seems kinda useless at this point with the 3DS and the DSi and access to their full processing capabilities plus the hmmm the new version of the PSP continuously being cracked open which has much better hw specs... OTOH with the GCW Zero why bother?  None of them are close to that spec.

Do calculators count?  as I have a smallish collection plus several that I've moved on... (Mostly HPs... and they all do have at least one emu (super)chip8)

Just wanted to correct the assumption that EZ flash IV doesn't do batch operations. It does. The client does get buggy if you try to do all at once (I first tried with 90+ roms at once), but went down to 20 at a time and had no problems. It may have been that I'm using Windows 7. But, you can do more than one rom at a time.

My supercard Just turned up... yayyyy some GBA time coming lol

Prepare for slowdows.... Supercard unfortunately has a slow ram chip onboard

EDIT: Both Supercard-SD and EZ Flash IV do batch processing.

Supercard-SD is cheaper (aprox. $25) and supports more emulated systems:

- NES
- GB
- GBC
- GBA
- TurboGrafx-16
- Master System

As far as i'm aware of so far.
Once again, correct me if i'm wrong...

Noted and corrected, thanks!

Yeah, a while back someone on an older post stated that it wasn't so, and i took his word for it, my mistake...

Man, i wish someone with good writing skills and some time on his/her hands would sit down and create at least a TXT compendium of all of these little details, it's going to be (if it isn't already) very time consuming to track down all this kind of info, even on this site.

It'd be very practical and would make for an interesting read for retro videogame handheld enthusiasts like ourselves...

Sorry for confusion, there were no hints in docs and client itself that batch processing is possible

I gritted my teeth a few times setting up the flash cart, but wasn't too bad. The info is choppy and scattered, but probably because it's a niche product.

Edit: shortened cause I just realized I already gave the info on post 85  :-[

My meager collection... not very experienced with digital photography, so took a few pictures with different settings to see what looks best:

Yup, that GBA has stereo speakers. Unfortunatley, they're only compatable with GBA games, so no Beatmania GB...

Why is there a Commodore 1802 monitor in this photo? Fluttershy and the Ghaleon punch puppet don't know either.

The Sega CDX isn't a handheld, but it is a portable... CD player, when equipped with 2 AAs.
I play games on: Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, GBA SP, NDS Phat, NeoGeo Pocket Color, Panasonic 3DO, Nintendo Entertainment System, Sega Nomad, Sega CDX w/Power Base Converter, PlayStation, Sega Saturn, PC, EGP1000, Dingoo A330, LetCool N350JP, and (soon) GCW-Zero SE.
