after more than a year of being here, cynicism is a good thing, since the a320 first launched, there has been nothing good come out of china, the gay330 might be the exception, but it's still no big leap from the dingoo really

Would be nice with some more info. Is this supposed to be compatible with the A320?

As the dingoo digital belongs to gemei and the a320e was said to use the CC1800 and seems to be released shortly after the gemei a330 -> I'm quite shure the dingoo a320e will just be a rebranded gemei a330.

talked about HERE (dingoonity) and HERE (gba-form with DD-email-statement)

A gemei a330 retailer here in Korea said that dingoo a320e is 100% identical to gemei a330 and the only thing different from a330 is manufacturer.

i say all the different dingoo/gamei/chinachip/etc companies all throw their respective products into a giant lucky dip bin, and when a customer wants one they get a random console, called the same thing as about 12 others...oh wait  ;D

Real specs without lies, inaccuracies or ambiguities or I don't care and will assume it's a worthless piece of  shit like the last a320 clone you guys made.

erm, I doubt it! don't be such a fool!
DingooDigital mentioned THEIR dingoo a320e month ago (-> follow my links above) and also unsealed some hardware informations!
(DT did not. Actually they didn't even state that the a320e is their product, maybe they've become careful)

Maybe it's a clever thing for DT to mention the a320e here before it's officially released and generally known.
Yes, maybe my post belongs again in the rumor-section, but fact is, that DD already mentioned an upcoming "dingoo a320e"!

I don't know what that's all about.
Maybe DT is planning to brand or build the same dingoo DD is talking about, what I doubt, because this time they can't see or take DD's internal plans, like they were able to, when they released the a320.
Maybe they are just stealing the name again, like they did with "a330", to realise profit out of confusion and mistakes.
But in every case, DT mentioning the upcoming product here would increase their reputation and credibility over DD.

so just for the record: DD mentioned a "dingoo a320e" months ago. (that's all I want to say)
I'll just wait now for releases, but even if DT built now their own useful device (maybe based on this TOPIC) the name-copying is still ridiculous and ignoble.

I think I solved the mistery: "a320e" was probably just a working-project title.
Upcoming A-380 is probably (ex)A-320e:

As you can see at DSC_7255_.jpg from specification and pictures of A-380, A-320e is clearly visible.
It is not "just a copy of Gemei": it has 500MHz cpu, biger screen, support for 2 controllers and so on.
But DD users are so disappointed with luck of support for their lovely 320 so that can't face the truth... ;)
So just for them, I'll say:
It is a lie, DT A-320e and A-380 are just vaporware, stolen products from one very decent company.
And DT A-330 was a big mistake, it has too much ram and screen is too colorfull for everyday use: don't buy it.

Sarcasm aside, the DT-A330 wasn't much of an improvement over the A320. The screen isn't that different, honestly most people wouldn't spot the difference. The extra RAM wasn't utilised by the 'borrowed' native firmware and the only reason it got support in Dingux is because of the great community behind it, DT gets no credit for this. The buttons were not as good as those from the A320 and many people have reported units dying within weeks. Personally, I dislike the cloned PSP style case too. Historically, the A320 has been and still is far more popular than the DT-A330. The DT-A330 was just a last ditch effort to grab some cash, I'd be surprised if most people don't recognize this.

I don't think it unreasonable to expect the A380 to be a poor product. I'd love to be proven wrong though.

What exactly is this harsh truth that people can't face? The Dingoo Digital A320 was a pretty good handheld for the price I think. In fact, the A320 is extremely popular and well liked, it might even be fair to say that it has set some standards for others to follow, and it was conceived by Dingoo Digital. They've released firmware updates and a new GA330 which despite its problems isn't that bad of a handheld. In the very least, it's different to the A320 and has significant hardware and software changes. At least they have tried to significantly improve on the A320 whilst keeping the cost down. Can't say the same about the DT-A330, minor differences aside it is still a rehashed A320, isn't it?

Perhaps it's you that needs to face some truths before you abruptly insult people with unfounded, uninstantiated claims..?

How can you say this? Did you end up getting one? It's pretty darn noticeable. But yeah, not a HUGE thing.

The buttons were not as good as those from the A320

Well, the shoulder buttons were better than the A320's. A little more comfortable anyway. As for the face buttons, they aren't bad. They were at first for the initial batch. But yeah.

and many people have reported units dying within weeks.

Really, the same can be said for every device ever. Some units are bound to be duds.

I still have my DT-A330 in good working order, just so you know.

The DT-A330 was just a last ditch effort to grab some cash, I'd be surprised if most people don't recognize this.

A "last ditch" effort? Is that why they have come back again, offering another console to the community? One that will be compatible with all the great software we already have? Unlike the Gaymi A330. :P

I'll probably be getting a DT A380. Unless DDU and his console become a reality sometime soon. Or unless DD/Gemei do indeed come out with an "A320e" that turns about to be the same as DT's A380, but cheaper/better. I don't want to get much into the whole DD/DT speculation thing again, but yeah, maybe DT ARE a little underhanded... copying Gemei's stuff and selling it as their own. But whatever. Apparently according to the laws of their land, they are legit and legal. So it's all good. It's not really my business. I just want the best console for the cheapest price. :)
