What was your favorite 80s cereal...?

HAHA! Was just bored man, then it hit me...
"Nin-ten-do, it's for breakfast now.", "Nin-ten-do, it's a cereal, WOW!!!"...

And WOW was right.

For the videogamers of that generation (or at least the Nintendo playing ones), Nintendo brand cereal meant enjoying the company of Mario and pals at the dinner table, while sharing some family comraderie (or squabbling, depending on your families' functionality levels).

Yes, the joy of Nintendo videogames could be reminisced on while the TV and NES was off, while enjoying the sweet and milky, wonderful taste of the colorful, bite sized, familiar, Nintendo shaped, videogame icons.

Who would've thought that these children would have such a huge impact on the shape of the videogame industry's present and future...?

Just like the Tears for Fears song, "Head Over Heels", time really does fly...

Smurfberries, Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, Kellogg's Fruity Marshmallow Krispies... ah, back in the days when they just crammed the sugar down your throat without a care  :P

I think the only surviving relics of that era are GM's "Monster" cereals (just went through a box of Frankenberry, shit was so cash).
I play games on: Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, GBA SP, NDS Phat, NeoGeo Pocket Color, Panasonic FZ-10 3DO, Nintendo Entertainment System, Sega Nomad, Sega CDX w/Power Base Converter, PlayStation, Sega Saturn, PC, EGP1000, Dingoo A330, LetCool N350JP, PAP-GAMETA, and (FINALLY!) GCW-Zero SE.

Currently playing: Guardian War (3DO), Final Fantasy II USA Proto (NES on Letcool), EVERYTHING!!! (GCW).

Those are all awesome.

Remember the cool, little free toys they used to come with back then...?
Like the Tony the Tiger, water capsule thingy that you had to put in a 3 liter, soda bottle filled with water and make it go vertically straight up and down...?
(can't rememebr how exactly though...)

Or the plastic, snap together "Go-bot" wannabe space shuttle robots?

Or, or, the neon colored, plastic Garfield padlocks...?

Oh man, there were tons of cool shit that used to come free inside cereal boxes back then.
Nowadays you don't get much free ANYTHING in a cereal box, unless it's going to eventually make some money off of you... 3(
