Glad to find something like this, I was gonna buy a retro duo but then I realized some of the best games I liked were uh pretty expensive even still. So someone told me about this device. I was originally looking at some of those basic mp4's but I bought one, let's just say it was a piece of crap, I thought this whole idea was a scam then someone said something about a dingoo and how it actually has communities, so i read a little bit up on and decided why not. My favorite system is SNES, I loved the final fantasies, Link to the past, secret of mana, and of course the best game ever chrono trigger. I also never much got into the new trendy games, many thousands of old games to be played that I sort of missed over the years. ;)

Ok, my name is John, I'm from Sweden and I'm 27. I'm new to the scene, just recently bought a Dingoo A320 and I registered here after I installed Dingux and realized how much you could do with the device.

Needless to say I have a pretty big crush on gadgets, tech and video games. I'm not a h4xx0r but trial and error got me pretty far through life so far so I guess I'll stick with that for now. What I lack in programming skills I, hopefully, make up for in art and design as I currently study video game graphics and art at a Swedish school for game programmers and game artists.

I prefer action and FPS-titles on the 360 (Ninja Gaiden and MW2, bring it on!), always been a console freak and the only PC-games I've played seriously is Quake 1 and Warcraft 2, also did quite alot of Amiga 500-gaming back in the days. Although my favorite game titles are modern, I also like the feel and strategy in retro- and oldschool games and do a little writing on the topic for the Swedish retro gaming blog Kraid.se from time to time.

Hi everyone,

I'm Rose Li, Chinavasion's PR manager, and I'd like to say nice to meet you all.
We are crazy about portable gaming and emulation here in Hong Kong, so I wanted to join as a way to add a China perspective to the homebrew community. I'm here to offer helpful and interesting news and fixes as and when we have it and act as a bridge between the manufacturers and the gamers.
If there are any questions, you're welcome to fire them at me anytime too!

@Omgmog - I hope this is ok, we simply want to help people with their Dingoos, Letcools and Gemeis and anything else useful!  ;)

Hello

and nice to meet you. I hope you can support the main developers getting developer consoles or a lower price to support the devices. Maybe we can do a list of most active developers.

Hello everyone,

I am pretty new to the Dingoo, but was in love after reading the first review of it. I am a big fan of old games and I love stuff where you have to "think" or at least "read into it" to use it to their fullest. So the Dingoo will be a nice new Toy :)
Still takes a while to deliver though ^^

I am already happy to have found such a nice community for this handheld and I am looking forward to annoy you with some questions and maybe even help some other people.

Have a nice time everyone, thanks for the great work you all do and I hope that I can give something small back for that ;)

Regards
Domian

Greetings!

I'm Grug from Erwin's Realm, a small classic PC gaming community. I started looking for small device that could play some of the classic games I've love from the past, and was originally looking at GP2X Wiz when my good pal Erwin turned my attention towards the Dingoo A320. Well, I ended up getting my Dingoo in January and I've never regretted it since, even though it is an HK model. I must say this little device is grate for it's low price, and the homebrew community is nothing short of amazing. I'm not skilled at programming, I wish I was, cause I would love to assist it making some applications for Dingux, but I am going to try to make some more themes for Gmenu2x as I'm somewhat skilled in pixel art, drawing pony's and rainbows mostly.  ;D

Nice to meet everybody and thank you all for all your hard work.
Oh, and best wishes for you future projects.

Well, after a year registered here, I will make my presentation.

My name is Pedro, but you can call me... dingoo (;D). I'm one of the responsible for the Dingoo Brasil site. The first time that I read about Dingoo was in September of 2009, in Wikipedia. Since then I'm following the scene and, now, I'm one of the main responsible for the official fansite of the machine.

For those that wants to take a look in our site, here it is the link:

oh, I've forgotten to introduce myself here.
so: hello my name is (have a guess  ;)) Roman, I'm from Austria and some years ago, I found out about homebrew-handhelds such as the gp2x and the (intended) pandora and all at once I was thrilled.
Playing all these classic games and creative homebrew apart from todays basically "mainstream-casual-rip-off" gaming scene...
but I suppose I don't have to explain to you how great the idea is if you are already here.
actually I can't wait to see a cool homebrew-gaming-handheld able to play my old n64 games too, but i suppose I'll have to wait for that one  :D
back home in Austria I finished school, let's see what comes next... (studying sooner or later I guess)
I have little programming/descriptive geometry experiences, but never made a programme worth mentioning (yet)...
also I like to play my guitar and sing, or other creative stuff such as unicycling, juggling, drawing and so on...  ::)
so I suppose that's more than everyone here ever wanted to know about me  :P :-*

(oh, and English is not my native language, but I don't want to waste all day with rereading my posts a hundred times, so I hope you can cope with my mistakes  (no honestly, is it hard to understand me? :-[))

short answer no, you waffle a bit without many seperate paragraphs, but it's perfectly understandable (MUCH better than some people on here)

well I don't know exactly what you mean with "waffeling without many separate paragraphs" (~ my sentences are too long? but "waffle" was demanded in the introduction-section i thought... ;))
but thanks for the advice non the less.
