This is a good priority, but the cpu should be notifically better. What about 3d accelerationchip?

I would assume with the 4755 Chip having HD it would have some sort of 3D in it but not sure will check up for more details

I think the 4755 chip is a great choice  :) To run HD I would believe it had 3D accelerator built in.

Priority should be the fixing of the existing Features.

Please do not touch:
-Formfactor (Size)
-Button Layout

Enhance:
-better TV-out -> Component or at least RGB, SVideo (also Dingux TV-out)
-TV-out to the TOP
-real Reset Button!!
-real Volume Control Wheel
-better Shoulder Buttons (smoth that acceleration is possible)
-changeable Batteries
-better Speakers
-Host-Mode for miniUSB or better Bluetooth (with Keyboard and Mouse profile :-)

Please add:
-WLAN !!!
-Bluetooth
- ~800Mhz-1.0Ghz (not more Cores!, it's to hard to develop and nearly all OSS Games are single core optimized)
-more RAM (64 or better 128MB)
-full SDHC Support
-analoge Nubs ?

Whats not really needed:
-3d acceleration...(why? for dreamcast emu? Supertux?...i think its too expensive and the games not worth)
-motion sensor (what OSS Games are using this?)
-2 Cores (see above)
-Radio

And what we need, full Linux support and documentation of all Components. Please check before.

Priority should be the fixing of the existing Features.

Please do not touch:
-Formfactor (Size)
-Button Layout

(Keepin the form factor might be maybe an inch in both directions alittle bigger due to improvements)

Enhance:

-better TV-out -> Component or at least RGB, SVideo (also Dingux TV-out)
(The Connector will either be S-Video or HDMI or both and on top)

-real Reset Button!!
(The reset will remain as is no button as people will accidently press it)

-real Volume Control Wheel
(I agree with wheel concept and will add it when we goto production0

-better Shoulder Buttons (smoth that acceleration is possible)
(The shoulder buttons need to be bigger and higher for easier pushing)

-changeable Batteries
(Will add connector to wires and to battery for easy changing)

-better Speakers
(Better Speakers are not a major priority as the less the cost the better but yes decent speakers0

-Host-Mode for miniUSB or better Bluetooth (with Keyboard and Mouse profile :-)
(Host Mode will be added and Hopefully Wifi/Bluetooth)

Planned to add:
Wifi
Bluetooth
I think processor has 3D acceleration built in would make for easier ports and more games like PSX4ALL games...

The first hurdle and I think I have talked Dingoo into doing it time will tell a 64MB version

If they won't I will add it myself to a Dingoo

I don't want to feel like I'm messing anyone over in anyway or form... I really want this to be a community based project with our hardware modders and dev's to make something the whole community would want and is compatible with current Dingux...

What was that about Snake I already answered the questions above Science left about what was doable and not doable right now once I get it fleshed out I think some more things can be added

Within a year is a fair timeline for a grassroots project (ok, maybe even a little aggressive). We can compare this project to the ODROID, another open source gaming handheld:

http://www.hardkernel.com/products.php

Those are pretty impressive specs for a $199 device, but first reviews are coming out saying the game controls are lacking (e.g., touch-sensitive shoulder buttons and poor dpad location), and it lasts only about 4 hours (understandable considering the 1300mAh battery running all that hardware).

I hope the next-gen Dingoo would be close in terms of hardware specs; if we keep the form factor and improve the shoulder buttons, then it would be superior to the ODROID in game control.

Do you know the Open Pandora project? It's also a community project but they also developed the whole hardware themself. It took about 5years to the actual state. But the first consoles are currently not available.

So do not try to build all yourself. Let the Hardware produce in China with your specs. Let the community develop Linux.
