OK, nothing to care about, right?
Two days ago a person claiming to be Sales manager of Dingoo Digital made a thread here, posted that info and responded some questions, this thread was locked and deleted without further explaination. aswell as another topic by yefeng about all HK Dingoos being fake.
Here?s a news on the official Dingoo website about this topic, the thread by yefeng had the same images:
http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?hl=de&ie=UTF-8&sl=zh-CN&tl=en&u=http://www.dingoo888.cn/news.asp%3Fid%3D25&prev=_t&
I don?t want to pee on anyone?s leg, i just thought i?d open a topic to discuss what happened. And since there?s no General Dingoo category, i put it into Offtopic (hint hint  :D).

edit: Here?s another news about HK Dingoos being fake. Yefeng also said that http://www.dingoo.hk/ is not the real company.

So what?s happening? Smart move to get rid of the warranty for HK Dingoos? Or really all fake, if so, they are really good ones...

Eule,

I'm awaiting a statement from Dingoo Digital China tonight the reason the post was deleted was I called the sales manager of Dingoo Digital China on their cell phone.

Informed them of the issue and they said they knew the site had been hacked but wasn't much they could do till they reopen on Tuesday. Which in America will be Monday night. Once I get a statement from them I will relay on the infromation here. Please let this topic rest till then as the Dingoo888.cn site was hack. The HK models are not fake....

This guy for unknown reasons had the website and changed alittle information on the website basically the sales contact e-mail and the company address. BTW YeFeng by IP is the same person Official_Dingoo who posted what you are refering to in this post right now they are one in the same.

So you tell me why setup two accounts and start spreading dis-information no clue other then they are a competitor that is pissed off or trying to discredit Dingoo Digital China.

But you also notice they changed the sales e-mail also so they might be trying to sell Counterfiet models themselves. Again this is all speculation as to why they or he did it. But what makes it more fishy is all this happened on the weekend while Dingoo Digital China was closed for business.

To Added to it:

After looking the the pictures in more detail and his statements are all crap I have even recieved non export meant for China only HK models and sent them back to Dingoo Digital China for swap out because someone in the warehouse sent me the wrong model.

That fact has been stated many times as Milton B was the one who found he had recieved an HK model that had issue and it was one I sent him. Thats how I found out about them and did a recall on the 5 units that I had recieved by mistake.

Eule,

Did you also notice now they are changing their name on the website from Dingoo to Ding Guo  they are either new owners of the domain and trying to confuse people and products or out right hackers. They also now have a paypal listed. Dingoo Digital China has never used paypal to take payments. They only take western union or bank to bank transfers.

So end of the day you tell me who is lying and who is trying to pull the wool over who's eyes these guys are planning to sell a dingoo knock off and label it as the real thing from what I can see and as you can see they are also a completely different company.

They also are not even based out of Shenzen in the Gungdoung province like Dingoo Digital China.

As i said, i just made this topic to get some info/oppinion what happened. I don?t think the HK models are fake too, so this news was a bit worrying of course. But if you called them and they said the website was hacked, all fine.  :)
It must be very weird to do business in china...  :D

Yep it is and from what I can see yes the site was hack but also has new owners because Dingoo Digital did make a new website dingoo.hk but looks like the new owners are trying to cause trouble and sell fake dingoos not sure...

Here is the last bit of proof about dingoo I have omitted alot of my personal information but here is the form I get with every shipment and this one just came in today...

Yefeng or Zheng which ever he is was an old associate of Dingoo Digital China. Needless to say he is no longer an associate but he still maintains ownership rights to Dingoo888.cn.

Which is no longer the offical Dingoo Digital Technology website Dingoo.HK is. They are making a comparable product and calling it a Din Guo which I believe is what Deal Extreme is carrying now. It will play the native emulators some what but does not play Dingoo Native games therefore I doubt it will play native based apps or emu's.

I mean end of the day it's all your choice what you decide to buy but I would stick with something that is known and somewhat more reliable then some guy who just pokes his head out from under a rock after a year and a half and says HI and changes the mailing and e-mail address and makes some wild statements that make no sense what ever.

That is the question my dear friend unless you know your buy from a reliable source like me or Andy of Dingoo.CO.UK in the UK you run the risk of getting one of these models.... I'm not sure if Deal Extreme buy there units from Din Guo or From Dingoo Digital Technology CO, LTD or not. It's a risk you take with purchasing from unreliable sources.

I have direct ties with Dingoo Digital Tech and buy direct from the company not going through an supply houses or go betweens.

Do i understand right, Dingoo company split up into two, and now both are producing Dingoos (or one produces Ding Guos... would like to see one from behind ^^)?  ??? China as i love and hate it.
At focalprice are Dingguos for sale eg... http://www.focalprice.com/detail_GT021W.html

They aren't split he just has the technology to do some of the emulation but native apps and emu's nor community based work on the Din Guo.

They are a little cheapie spin off they aren't Dingoo A320's at all like I said make sure you are buying from a reliable source that you knows only sells export models. Like in big business all the small off the wall companies are going to go for the cheaper no namer.

If you noticed the only game it emulates listed are a couple native 3d games not even all of them and emulates GBA. It's a bad spin off dude.

If your buying a Dingoo I advise you do your research and make sure the company you get it from is definately getting you a Dingoo made by Dingoo Tech and not Shenzen Dingoo.

As for who I know who has reliable sources so far Deal Extreme, Dingoo.co.uk, Game Yeaah, and me. Anyone else I have no clue where they get their supplies from.

As I said before he is a former associate and he just wants to stir up crap and sell a crappy look alike that doesn't do have the things the real Dingoo A320 does. Only time will tell what issues arise from this but just make sure you buy from a reliable dealer that deals with Dingoo Technology not Shenzen Dingoo.

If your buying a Dingoo in Europe I advise you to buy from Dingoo.CO.UK in North Or South America me anyone else I'm not sure but I think Focal and Game Yeaah and Deal Extreme are all going for the Dingguo.

And after they call me a FUD-user...
Don't tell in name of deal extreme, game yeah or other if you don't have any connection with they.

Deal Extreme and others are serious companies and they will sell dingoos while they call it "dingoo".

Don't spread fear to increase your sells, it's unethical.

I have modified my statment above and would like to convey my apologizes to ddragoonss and the community.

I wasn't trying to cause fear or boost my sells I was busy with my normal day job and typed up a quick reply with out proof reading or getting some facts direct from the source DD China.

Now that I have this is what I know to be true... It's not an excuse should have proof read it better and not made an allegations I couldn't back up. By now you should know I'm not that way and would never do that so once again I apologize to you and the community.

End of the day all I can say is trust your gut and do your research before you make a purchase. It never hurts to even e-mail their sales people find out where they get there supplies from.

At that point if you do get a bad one you have the e-mail to back you up when you ask for a refund. If they won't give one then take the matter to the credit card company or paypal with the e-mail you will have a case to get a full refund.
