this is the poor firmware I tested, bad battery management, bad speed, ppsspp run very slow games like assasins creed and tekken 6, the unique pro is the fix right stick, if you want a custom firmware with 1.1.5 fix, try maetel prometheum rom. is the unique acceptable firmware based in a 1.1.5 kernel, the problem are the navigation buttons 'back, home,  menu, screenshots, etc'

by the way, Anybody know how to get back the navigation buttons?

I tried assasins creed and tekken 6, it is pretty much playable. You need to do some settings inside ppsspp to get it run faster.

Is the same config that use in supercharged, webclaw 116.9 and prometheum, and performance governor

Default config is not good enough. You have to adjust it. I even can play crisis core pretty much smoothly.

I only tried this rom and I can say that Tekken 6 doesn't work properly (it's unplayable) at least in my device (maybe it has some hardware fail), maybe mine and his have something different of yours. Anyway I didn't expect I could play Tekken 6 in this device, I can say I'm sure it's not about configuration, I tried all possible combinations even copying the ones which some people say it works. However, if you still think is a matter of configuration, maybe you don't mind sharing it with us. Take sure we will thank you :)

At least, someone with this kernel could tell me what it says in kernel version and build number ?

Thanks in advance.

The frame rate is 66.666666, which makes all of the emulators unusable.

have you guys with the power button issue tried keeping the device active with a wake lock?
It will decrease battery life but it might fix your problem.

I use it on my units, to keep them awake for my alarm clock app.
if not it will nto wake up out of deep sleep to set off an alarm.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.thedarken.wl&hl=en

put it on partial wake lock, screen will still shutoff but keeps the CPU active.

Sorry for the newbie question, looking for some help on this issue.

I have recently installed webclaw's other firmware from this page, version 4GB NAND to be precise.

While it is a huge boost in performance, I too now have the deep sleep issue.

If I flash the firmware on the first page of this thread, will it wipe my device, or does it install on top of the firmware I already installed?

The firmware SPECIAL will erase all your data except the one in your EXTERNAL SD.
It's need to press RESTORE in RK Bach tool.
After the flashing process the device automaticaly will format:
/data, /cache and /mnt/sdcard
Your EXTERNAL SD CARD will be in the same way, no impact.

Great news and a big thanx to WebClaw.

But why only 1.4ghz ? It seems to me that the new S7800b's work fine with 1.6ghz and gpu oc. Mine does (bought from geekbuying). I played for 2 ours yesterday without prob. As soon as sleep-mode sets in your're screwed but otherwise it worked fine.

Newer kernels (1.5.X) are compressed meaning typical measures to overclock / modify the native clockspeed is not possible without the actual source. Older kernels were not compressed - hence why they could be overclocked.

I agree, these units can most likely run at 1.6GHz (stable).

yeah, mine is also 1.6HGz and works just great. ;D

Which firmware are you using, does it have the sleep problem?

In my opinion it wasn't a good idea to publish a rom which has nothing to do with the one described in the first post of this thread. Do you even know know what ROM are looking for?

You and zerog17 are mixing information

Try reading this thread, http://boards.dingoonity.org/jxd-devices/jxd-s7800b-new-kernel-where-find-stock-firmware/

Maybe there is the rom.
