My "Brick"
« on: March 31, 2014, 02:56:24 pm »
Hi people,
I used to be the proud owner of JXD S7800B until I bricked after I installed Chainfire3D, I can get into recovery, but whenever I try to flash anything i get a error message that tells me my sd card is not mounted and when I try to mount it won't do it or recognize it and I hate to think I wasted all my money, I could really use a lot of help with this. I know that I probably left out some important data, so please fire away with questions. I am also one step above being a noob about this,so be gentle with your answers
Plus I can't get my laptop to recognize it no matter what USB cable I use
Thanks
Bruce

Damn, It was discussed few times:
Chainfire 3D is incompatible with devices on Android 3.x/4.x and very likely to brick your device!
From Chainfire's author:
Quote
!! Chainfire3D is for 1ghz+ devices only !!
!! For Froyo and Gingerbread ONLY. NOT COMPATIBLE with Honeycomb/Ice Cream Sandwich/Jelly Bean !!
Use GLTools instead! (Here's thread about GLTools.)

Did you tried to flash stock or custom firmware with RKBatchTool?

Can you rename your topic, Bgbourassa, please? I'm preparing a big update to my threads guide and will put this as warning.
