to hide the status bar there is many apps that do the trick. I'm using GMD GestureControl and works well on my devices.

This looks delicious... It literally looks like a full-blown tablet version of the Wii U Gamepad. Was originally considering getting an S7100, but perhaps I should hold off? Missing Start and Select buttons are a bit worrisome... Maybe just a prototype?

As nice as it looks, these 7" systems look like total monsters to me.  Do any of you think this or even the wii u is a practical system?  it would be nice to know however, it the larger size has allowed better thermal  handling than the smaller systems.

From a purely portable gaming standpoint? Perhaps not. I think 4 or 5" is the sweet spot for portability.

But something to tool around the house with, while the wife/kid is watching TV, and bring able to switch from gaming to movie watching? Sounds like a great option.

Is there any word on the pricing yet? I really want one of these, hopefully it will be out before Christmas...

Compared to the smaller devices, I think 7 inches is probably more practical for things such as web browsing, presentation, word processing, and streaming video. It's more of a tablet form factor than a handheld, but that's what makes it so attractive to me.

As far as Wii U goes, it's not really a standalone tablet in the same sense as an Android or iOS tablet. The screen on it is only 6-inch resistive (compared to most tablets' 7" and up), and you can't use it outside of the console's range. I personally do not find it practical, especially when you can just download Hulu/Netfix/YouTube on your budget Android tablet or something. I also don't think most games will be playable on its extra screen the way NSMBU is.

Very nice console indeed but where on earth are select and start buttons on the s5600B ?

Start and Select are meant to be easily accessible for emulation, don't you think ?

It's still time to improve that point JXD !

The 5" version looks like the controls will be more comfortable.  I reckon I can see dual shoulder buttons too (side by side).  Maybe Start and Select are the buttons on the sides?

Android 4.1? Does this mean both new tablets will feature Jellybean? That's great news! I can't wait to see more. :)

Holy Crudballs!!!!  A proper D-pad, 2 analog nubs, dual L & R buttons and to top it off dual core with androind 4.1.  After all the problems and lack of stuff we've been asking for on the previous android devices I'm having a hard time believing this.  Hell must have frozen over thawed out and then froze over again.

That dual core 5300B does look pretty sweet!  Yeah I don't see a start and select button either but with a real D-pad, 2 L & R buttons and 2 nubs I can deal with a virtual start and select button, or map them to something that's being used.  I just hope the price point is a reasonable amount.  Speaking of which anyone know what price they're shooting for yet?
