JXD s7800b Purchasing Advice
« on: January 22, 2014, 06:06:48 pm »
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I've been getting paranoid from the defects and return horror stories on this forum. That and the difference in 1.6 clock and 1.4 clocked processors, where do you guys recommend getting one? I really, really want to get one soon. Thanks again!

My advice? Don't, if you can be guaranteed a working unit fine, other wise pass.
I've got 2 both have issues, one of them I got cheap from a pricing mistake the one I paid full price for I regret.

If you must buy one I would also recommend dino.
Just make sure you pay for return shipping insurance.

Willgoo has stiffed people lately.
I bought from fox offer and they are super slow to responded 'weeks' you have to send a email, wait, then send another email asking about the first to get a response.

Your best bet (depending on which country you are in) is to try and find a reseller in your country that offers you the warranty.  I bought mine from a seller in the UK and any issues mine is going back to them to sort out.   Its a hell of a lot better than having issues and having to send it half way round the world.

According to my lookup, a Bill Zhou is the registrar of Fox Offer, unless that other guy had somebody else set up the business they seem unrelated, apart from being in China.

Where did you get your JXD from? All the eBay ones I've seen have been a bit expensive, would like to know if there's a cheaper option.

Mine came off Ebay.  I didn't mind paying a touch more to have the Warranty UK based as it were.  I paid ?129 for mine which i didnt consider to be so bad.

I live in america, so I'm not even sure which, if any, available sellers even offer good warranty. Ebay does have the buyer protection, but is a bit more pricey. I really wonder what the failure rates are for these systems. Is there any way to buy directly from jxd?

Yeah Shenzen (well a particular area of it) is basically the epicentre of cheap gadgets, that's where the original Dingoo came from and tons of other cheap electrics.

While it wouldn't surprise me if they were all sites owned by a parent company as a way of creating false competition and the illusion of a competetive market (Geekgoo and Willgoo are the same I think) them both being close together in one of the less illustrious districts of Shenzen doesn't suggest it IMO.
