I would recommend the jxd s601. It has a resistive touch screen, but since you don't need a touch screen that would be your best bet. It lasts about 5 hours so you can get use on both sides of your commute

Plus there is a large community for it.

See the below link on the options of game players. They all can do what your looking for. Some have different hardware, screen types. Just need to figure out what your need vs how much you want to pay.   Personally, I would get the new JXD s5110. It is just like the JXD s601 but with better resolution, 3 touch restrictive screen, hdmi tv out, otg support (bluetooth, mouse, keyboard, wireless game controler support), and it is newer so the dev focus might shift to it.

The JXD s601 has lots more rom choices as they are just now coming out with custom roms for it. The screen isn't that bad for a restrictive finger nail touch screen. Since you would be using it for a communte you would not need the OTG, HDMI support.  The screen resolution is fine for the lower resolution games. As they were made for a 480i screen anyways (unless your over in europe).

The emulator you want is FPse which can be bought from the market for a low price (about £2.50). You will need to acquire a BIOS file which you should place on your SD (scph1001 or scph7502 will be adequate, just google) and specify this in the FPse options.

Make a new directory on the SD card for your games and rip as bin/iso from the CD using a decent burn/rip program. I use Imgburn which is free, fast and consistent.

Hello, so I bought JXD s601, rooted it and overclocked up to 900mhz. I installed setCpu, choose min 920(or something like that) and max 920. But it always shows about 200mhz. I tried some psx games but it's very laggy and I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

set the cpu governor to "performance" or "on demand" and reboot

Thank you! Now it's running so much better. setCPU lets me choose 1ghz, even though I overclocked to 900mhz, can I go up to 1ghz or I still need to do something more before that?

And yeah, I'm satisfied with them. Unlike willgoo they accept mastercard, also they sell it cheaper(now, when I bought it it was 84$). But I believe they could have put it in box, not letter with bubbles, because I got delivered damaged box, but s601 was fine.

I installed gameboid, it asks me gba bios file, when I press on it program asks me it again and I can't play any GBA games,. I tried to redownload bios file, but it's same.
Same with DroidEmu. What can be wrong?

In Gameboid settings point to bios file. Can't say for DroidEmu, I never used it

Some emulators ask for BIOS and then immediately for the ROM file (in the same dialog). I thought it asks me again for the BIOS, but it was the ROM.

I've been trying to get gamekeyboard to work for hours... it doesnt seem to remap my hardware keys correctly (I've remapped X, circle, triangle etc to Gamepad A, Gamepad B, Gamepad Y, etc), but when I press the buttons, gamekeyboard simply does not register them..
