I'm a JXDS601 newbie...just got my JXDS601 a few days ago. I put the new firmware in and rooted it. The problem I'm having is some of the some of the emulators I've tried will not work. I bought the unit for old school emulation (8+16 bit). I'm having trouble with GENSOID + NESOID....they simply will not run. Mame4Droid and SNESoid work great. Which old school emulators do you guys recommend???

I'm getting a bit annoyed now. My JXD doesn't want to be overclocked at all.  I've got the 800 Mhz kernel working now but get random freezes and reboots. JXD must have bought a bunch of rejected higher clocked A9 Processors and underclocked them. This is done quite often with PC processors but in this case it really makes the JXD underpowered. Does anyone have a good idea to coax more power out of this thing?

you can try to limit frequency with setcpu to find maximum stable frequency. for me it's 725 mhz. then you can make kernel for your frequency and flash it to your console.

The latest version of nesoid/snesoid etc... (from slideme for example) should work, I had the exact same problem, they install fine but when you try to launch a game they return to the menu...

You need to go into settings then Applications/Manage Applications, click on the non working app and choose "clear data" then try again.

I found more and more 3-buttons combos while playing different games.
I wonder if it is possible to solve this issue with altering kernel, or it is a hardware issue?
