I bought the S601 based on the discussion here on this particular thread (honest) and after getting it, and seeing how LITTLE coverage it gets on the web outside of a couple of forums, I went ahead and started a website to change that. Gaming on Batteries was started to showcase the great games that hand helds such as the S601 can run (and information on which ones to avoid for various issues, prominently the screen resolution).
At last check, GoB was closing in on 30k visitors a month (which is great considering how niche the system is). We recently started coving other handhelds but traffic is unequivocally behind the S601 and other Android handhelds.
I think there is a market for stuff like the Yinlips systems but I think the price is holding back fans. With the S5110 priced at $99.99, I think JXD is putting their sites on taking the top spot (and if they aren't careful, gutting their S601 sales). It is just too good a system for the price. Sure, it can't be overclocked at the moment but that will come as fans get behind it and modders get time to tinker with the system.
