I have a question....

People seem to be mixing and matching different frequency kernels and firmware (ie: 800mhz kernel with 600mhz firmware or whatever.)

What are the implications of this? (if any?)

Yeah people with the know how could advise..

What I think is the newer kernels have the frequency of the new 800Mhz firmware so i dont think it matters  ;)

i did it because I didn't want to install all again. It seems that new firm only changes in the kernel from the previous one. Mine is with kernel from this last firm but with the previous firm, and works perfect.

Do you or anyone else have problems booting after flashing - I done 900Mhz and once it boots its fine,
I just tried 1Ghz black screen again but I'm goner give it a while before switching on again... cool it in the fridge
First lol.. seems to do the trick after flashing it... but maybe its just not meant to be for me I used the older Firmware anyway... maybe I could make a heatsink mod or something but atleast I can run @ 900Mhz  ;)

Forgot to ask if you can patch from 600 to 900 then from 900 to 1000Mhz or do you have to patch the original each time?

You can patch the kernel you want. There's no need to change to the original kernel to patch a new one.

Edit: Right I`m running @ 1Ghz but its booting into it is the problem - can anything be done about the first boot?

I don't know, mine works great at 1 ghz. But there's no much difference between 900 and 1 ghz, maybe you can ask kashlekin to make a 950 kernel.

Well once I`m booted I can play with the frequency in setCPU,  I used Quadrent Stantard to check it was all correct

Full benchmark test scored higher then samsung galaxy tab lol score =2475  ;)

cortex a9 is a beast... even a shitty made a9 will beat a well built a8 cycle for cycle

main reason I stood behind this from the get go... besides the price of course ;)
