I wonder if this this has video out hdmi and to hook up usb. if so this would be better than a raspberrypi+jxd it self-chinese console...ect finally someone made something to rock. and it HAD to be JXD. Nice LOL!

Since the linux raspberryi team is making is for arm devices. Well, HDMI.. someone hack this this for IO! keyboard and mouse!!!!!

they say starting with $79.
that means no shipping fees included.
as for now, no other shops offer it.
you could ask jxd directly, i mailed them once before and they do direct shipping of single units to private persons, however they use dhl shipping which is about $25 if i remember correctly.

Looks decent, and I'm a little jealous of Android 2.3 when the Yinlips G18 I have on the way is only 2.2 ... but it does have a lower-res screen. I also am curious if this one will suffer from multiple-buttons-at-once issues as well. I'll be keeping an eye on this.

Hopefully this trend of Android gaming devices continues and we eventually get a "holy grail" perfect device. It'd be awesome to have this with a 800x480 capacitive touch screen, 1.2ghz+ or even dual-core processor, quality buttons with dual analog sticks, and 8-hour battery life. I'll keep dreaming

@boxies re: ICS. The device is probably capable of it, but the way new models of these are cranked out I bet we won't see them release a 4.0 software update. They'll just release a new model with ICS instead.

This one doesnt seem to have HDMI and for keyboard & mouse. those things can be so important...
I would like to have ICS running games on my big 1080p screen with keypad.

Resistive screen. If you buy that you're throwing money to the fire. I don't care about the price tag. Resistive screen = fire.

I'm not gonna extend my speech to how unfortunate the controls look.

Unless you want to play naff phone games resistive screens aren't a problem, they're fine for navigation with a stylus and a better alternative to doing so with a d-pad. I suppose the actual quality of the resistive screen is a factor too, some are wildly inaccurate and unresponsive while others are really usable.

The most important thing is how well the physical controls work and whether the unit runs N64 and PS1 ok, if those boxes are ticked then it looks like a winner.

if the specs are true, the only problem might be teh battery (which is easy to replace/extend by modding).

i think im gonna wait until someone else got it, if it proves to do what it promises im gonna buy it (and put a better battery in

) !

also, i doubt that the next android device will be this low-priced again, so this is probably gonna stay the cheapest option for a while.

The Xperia Play is already a 2.3 Andriod and can overclock to 1.5Ghz with 512MB Ram and Good GPU its maybe not far from your dream.....

what would be though would be a hacked PS Vita with Andriod or Dingux type Os installed..... i think the Vita would be hacked by the time the Chinese devices catch up with near its spec...

One thing i would look forwards to would be if Game Park Holdings ever released a sucsessor to the Caanoo/Wiz.. they was nearly there, had they combined both systems into one package i.e a Caanoo with addition of D-Pad as well as its Analog.

If they released a system as such with better screen and higher 1Ghz CPU 256MB or more Ram they could also be onto a Winner.
