Yes, after making recovery SDCard I copy the firmware file to the memory card, and then start the update bootloader.

dreikk91, don't know. If this didn't work I am out of ideas.

If someone wants to try CWM for s5110....

Niiiiiiiiccccceeeeeeee skel! Gonna try it out later today, Thank you! :)

Hmmmm, is not working for me. I unrared it to the root of my micro-sd card, held menu while powering on, and it just boots into the standard recovery menu.

You mentioned it works better with smaller size micro-sd cards, mine is 16gb, so maybe that's the problem?

It could be. Card should be also in FAT32, but I suppose you have it this way. I use it in s601 with a 8gb card.

Yeah, just checked, is definitely FAT32...... must be the size, but just out of curiosity, why would it care about the size of the card it's on?

Honestly, don't know, but it is something that happens some times using this method. In a card I use of 32 GB never boot for instance.

Was definitely the size I guess.... just tried with a 1GB FAT16 formatted card and it booted into CWM like it should.

Very cool to have CWM available for backups though, Thanks skel :)

I am really a noob when it comes to this type of stuff. I turned on my S5110 in recovery mode, it started to upgrade to Skelrom 1.6, but then the screen just goes black and doesn't respond to anything except the power button.

sorry to bump this, but can anyone help me? When I put my S5110 into recovery mode trying to install Skelrom 1.6, it says u-boot-aml-ucl.bin not found. then it goes to the install screen then turns black after a bit. I followed all steps exactly as put, but nothing.

Hi all, that link seems to be dead
I've been stucked with my JXD S5110 after trying to install Skelton v1.6 firmware but now the device is bricked.

I wish reinstall the correct uboot files with a SD card.
