I ultimately got an Nvidia Shield + iPega 9023 controller, and it is quite nice. I got that + keyboard/mouse case + 32gb card, + Shield Controller for $200.

Just FYI, I bought a JXD S192 from geekbuying nearly 7 months ago.

It has now completely died (yellow light).

Geekbuying has a 1 year warranty on this device...apparently...but instead of offering to replace or repair the device, they've offered me $30 compensation!

My conversation with them is ongoing, but I'll update this thread throughout the process.

I think it's important that people understand the level of after-sales service they can expect before they buy.

I already have a shield tablet.  It's still a pain in the ass to play in the car with the ipega 9023.  The way the controls fit in your hand it angles the screen up and away from you and ends up being no more comfortable to use than a s7800b or gpd q9 like.

It's also convenient not having to charge both the device and the controller...  Plus it has about 3-4 times the battery life after wiring in an extra battery  ;D

Not sure what you mean by comfortable. I like the feel of a 7800b in my hands.
