JXD 7800B mapping
« on: November 18, 2013, 12:58:22 am »
Is there anyway to move that right stick in Mode 1 on the built-in mapper to say centre of the screen? Mode 2 just sets the right stick but without that "Eye" Icon with pointers all around.

Also I can?t seem to make the "Eye" Icon bigger nor smaller either. Is this the way that mapper works or do I have any fault on my side?

Hi Magnus72,
I feel your pain. I really like my s7800 but I can't get the right stick to do what I want using the mapper.
I also have a Tuvva power play tablet and the mapper is excellent, I'm able to get the right stick to work with epsxe for Ape Escape and other dual analog games.

Drem, do you have any suggestions on how to get the right stick to work with epsxe on our s7800?
Thanks,
Chris

If you look to another thread, you will notice it's common problem:

I don't tried yet ePSXe on my console. I think the only possible way to solve this problem is to beg ePSXe's authors to investigate situation.

I've tried Tincore, but I haven't spent the time to really look into it in depth.
Honestly, when I tried it, it overwhelmed me a bit with all the different options.
Have you had any luck with it in epsxe stpat?

I haven't tried it with epsxe, but I've used it to map the right stick for many different games and it works great, so I suspect it would allow you to do what you want with epsxe.

You should check out the Tincore wiki page. He's got some usage tutorials on there, I'd recommend walking through them to get a feel for things. I agree Tincore is a little overwheling at first, but once you get used to it, it really is the tool of choice for this sort of thing.

Make sure you also check out this thread for some important info:

http://boards.dingoonity.org/jxd-devices/tincore-on-the-s7800s/

Make sure the built-in keymapper isn't active or else it will interfere with Tincore. Also, take note of the S7800 compatibility tips (VERY important)
