ePSXe emulator problem
« on: January 14, 2014, 07:37:53 pm »
I have just loaded on the ROM for Brian Lara's Cricket, awesome old school game, but I cant get it past the title screen the screen on my 7800b goes black. I can still here the menu and hear when I select different options, but cant get any visuals past the title screen. Any ideas or will my dreams of playing a decent portable cricket game be gone for ever. I also tried LOMU rugby using the same emulator and that works great. I see there is another emulator called FPse, but I have to pay for that one, is it any better?

Thanks

Try installing retroarch and using the pcsx rearmed core.

Retroarch is a collection of emulator ports by different authors all brought together under a single user interface, they call these emulator ports "cores".

Basically substitute the word "core" for "emulator", makes more sense.
Handhelds:
GPD Win, GPD XD 64gb, Pap KIII-Plus, RS-97, RS-90, New Bittboy, 3DS XL, DSi XL, GBA SP, GBBC Clone, Gameboy Pocket, PSP Go,
PC:
HP Envy M6, Acer 522, Dell Mini 9
Psion 5 & 5MX
Tons of other old laptops and tablets.....

Fpse runs pretty much all games well.
It also has Open GL so games will be in high res.
Some games do have a problem in OpenGl but quite a few are pretty good.
Retro arch PSX is not that good.

Not sure if I Have a copy of the criket but if so will let you knpw.

Nope don't have the cricket game.

I would recommend buying fpse though.
