Trying to get a nice NeoGeo emulator for the JXD and I am running into some issues. I am trying neo.emu but I am not understanding why it isn't really working. I have the Neogeo.zip for my bios but when I click on it, it says something like

0 not found.

Does anyone have experience with a NeoGeo emulator or should I just go for MAME

---EDIT---

Nevermind >.< I got a better emulator that works wonders. If anyone needs help on a Neo Geo emulator, lemme know and I will help them out. I apologize for the inconvience.

I don't know if the instructions for all MAME/NEO GEO emulators state this but in order to run the roms.

-Find out if the MAME emulator your using runs 0.37b5 or 0.72u2 roms.
(You can't play 0.37b5 roms on a 0.72u2 emulator or the other way around)
-Download and drag the Neo Geo bios zipped folder in the Roms of the emulator.
-Drag the rom of the game you downloaded zipped to the Roms folder of that emulator.

For anyone that might be interested, I have had great success using AFBA emulator. Works perfectly for Neo Geo, and all generations of CPS (including III).

It ran every ROM I threw at it, including Metal Slug 5 (Neo Geo), SNK vs Capcom (Neo Geo), and Street Fighter III: Third Strike (CPSIII).

id recommend using retroarch and the fba core to run neo geo games it should be 100% compatible and full speed.

I tried using aFBA to emulate CPS3 games (SF3, Warzard, etc.) but I couldn't get it to load anything.  I was specifically choosing the NoCD version of games.  I pointed to my MAME Reloaded roms directory, and they showed up in the list.  Do I need alternate versions of those ROMs  (greater than MAME 0.139u1)?  I could see each of the CPS2 and NeoGeo games loading one ROM at a time.  When I try CPS3, the screen remains black.  Thanks in advance.

Try using the final burn alpha core in retroarch. Just tried third strike and it seems to run great.

acid what's your 3rd strike filename? I can't get anything to run using the FBA core.
