Ok
Did you manage to install supercharge 2.0 if so your OK

You had problems earlier with the SD formatting.

My suggestion is to get the RKbatchtool installed and the relevant drivers installed.

You'll be able to recover the system that way.

Look through Tanworks frirmware page there is plenty of info there. Including links to drivers.

Did you install 2.2 or 2.2.1?

It's probably my fault. I went though the options on the recovery in an attempt to get Windows to detect the SD card in order to format it. I probably deleted something or hit the wrong option. I did get 2.0 installed but I probably messed up a boot file or something. I know very little about what I am doing.

I do have the drivers installed and rkbatch tool running. Nothing.

I've looked online and everything. I think I did this thing in permanently.

I can hear a ding on my computer when I plug it in. I even get an icon to eject the hardware, but its showing up as RK3066. No drives are visible though.

Is there some file I can put on my card to fix things that way?

OK it sound sounds like supercharged is OK as you have USB conection.
One problem you may have is your 1.08GB partion but we will worry about that later.

you need to run RKBatchtool it should show a green box.

choose the 2.2.1 img and press upgrade. Once done .

run RKbatchtool again and install a 1608 kernel.

Do you have access to a XP machine that's what I ended up doing.

Tried windows 7 and 8 no connection.

Try running RKbatchtool in compatability mode XP setting.

Oh also try pressing power and + on the volume control at the side

I have installed the latest firmware with this machine many times. I just have been trying different things here and there in an attempt to get that 1.06gb of space and to see if I can get the overclock to work (neither of which I have been unable to do).

Tried. Still nothing.

Just brings me right back to the same recovery mode.

Here's more information:

First picture is when I view the log.

Second picture is my recovery screen itself.

Third picture is what happens when I wipe data/factory reset.

Fourth screen is the mounts and storage screen.

Hey,       I did the same thing, it just kept on getting stuck on the Recovery screen!      UNTIL I TRIED THIS!

1: TURN ON YOUR JXD 7800 INTO RECOVERY MENU!
2: CONNECT USB TO JXD DEVICE & PC
3: RUN RKbatchtool ...SELECT THE UPDATE IMAGE, & YOU WILL NOTICE NO DEVICE CONNECTION....GO TO STEP4
4: ON THE JXD RECOVERY MENU....CHOOSE...... REBOOT SYSTEM..& THEN HOLD THE POWER & VOL +

WHILST ALL STILL CONNECTED TO THE RKBATCH TOOL.... YOUR DEVICE WILL POWER OFF AND THEN A BLACK SCREEN ON YOUR JXD DEVICE & CONNECTION ON YOUR PC IS ESTABLISHED.........CHECK THE RKBATCH TOOL AND BOX IS GREEN.......AND READY 2 BE FLASHED!

Hope this helps!  ........... It worked for me!

It's weird because my computer makes a noise when I go into recovery mode, like it sees the drives. I even get an "eject RK3066" but there is no drive that I can access through Windows or the disk management system of Windows.

What's worse is that the only storage I have after flashing to the new firmware IS my external card. The 5GB or whatever came internal is GONE.
