Be aware from ordering on Dealsprime
« on: December 22, 2013, 08:43:44 pm »
I've been wanting to talk about them since I got my JXD S7800B from them.

I ordered my device on November 15 and it arrived on the 14 of December.
Here's the link to their listing for the JXD S7800B,
http://dealsprime.com/jxd-s7800-quad-core-android-4-2-tablet-pc-game-console-rk3188-1-8ghz-7-ips-1280-800-8gb.html?gclid=CJ_bouvTxLsCFaHm7AodQ2IADg

While I awaited and was wondering where my package was during the shipping because it felt pretty long. I gave them a quick call to ask them where it currently was. It took 8 rings from the other end to have someone finally pick up and I swear it felt like this lady was calling from her house. It wasn't like, "Hi dealsprime customer service, how can we help you?" No, she very quietly just said, "hello?" Thought I deli the wrong number and asked her if this was dealsprime but no it was the right number. It just felt like very lazy service.

Anyways When the system arrived in the mail, I was quite puzzle by how they sent it. For one, they didn't send it on a box, they send it on an oversize envelope folder with the system's box inside covered in bubble wrap. That didn't stop the box from having bumps on some of it's sides. When I took the system's box out the envelope, the ear buds, cable extension and manual were in the bottom of the envelope, they weren't inside the box. So I guess they just threw them in there in the last second.

This was my first time ordering from that website and mainly because the site was selling the JXD S7800B the cheapest at the time and I can honestly say this well be my last time ordering from them.  :(

Also, I don't believe this is how the original packaging of the system looked inside. I was quite ticked off by it but not too much. At least everything in the system ran fine.

Do you guys think I should call and leave a complaint or something? Or just leave it alone?

how much did you pay im curious you say it was cheapest at the time.

If everything is there and works i'd probably not complain but it's up to you.

EDIT: interesting they advertise it as 1.8ghz, there was a group of guys calming to have a 1.8ghz unit called pwnage edition.

dunno if that ever materialized but JXD only advertised 1.6hgz.

lately people have been getting unit that are 1.4ghz try cpuz and see what speed yours is.

Paid what it still goes for, $158.

I checked the CPU and it was 1.4MHz

Does the console work ok and are you happy with it? Looking on the bright side the altered packaging and loose accessories may be because they tested it before sending, who knows?

If you are happy with the way it performs then I say just leave it be, it's the console that matters.

The system works great except one small issue. When I apparently, I play with the system too long (hours). Touching the screen starts going wild. Let's say I'm in the menu, when I make a simple touch on the screen. It's start shaking super fast from left to right.

This issue goes away after I leave the system alone for a few minutes but I wish to know how to fix this.

My Xperia Z Ultra does this time to time. I just wipe the screen down and fixed.

I've got a issue with my screen also.. dead spot in the bottom left corner.. goes dead at random intervals... putting the system to sleep fixes it but only for a while.

sounds like your situation is much worse then mine.

I had also ordered mine from Deals Prime, got it on the 13th of Dec! Tracking wasn't updating at all every time I checked, and took about a month to get here. When it got here it was also packed in a bubble envelope, everything just tossed inside of it and the system in the box. Was pretty pissed to see it arrived like this, they claim free shipping but damn, at least ship it in a box or something! The system was cracked open a little at the top left corner where the shoulder buttons are, squeezing it with my fingers put it back in place. I tired it a bit before wrapping it up away under the christmas tree. The battery had ZERO charge in it, had to charge it for two hours (it got to 78%). But everything seemed to run very fine, very nice screen, touch screen feels good and buttons felt crisp and perfect. Played Majoras Mask pretty smooth! 8) I have been looking into Tans firmware, I didn't get the chance to check out how quick my system was running (read some had them at 1.4). I'll be looking more into it tomorrow night when I get the chance to take it out again.  :P
