im sorry that link sends me to a purchasing site that is in a different language than i speak

also off topic im a hardware guy and have been trying to work out issues mainly temps and mods, and i think ive done very well my jxd no longer gets sluggish due to temps and i can charge via usb 2.0 very quickly, though im not ballsy enough to try 3.0 for its 10 amps of power

i did check that spot in mine...mine must be a different right side pcb because it just has holes my joystick uses for alignment...though i think your board either has cold soldering points like you said...or test points (whice i see a lot in mine but not there)

i just finished my benchmark on antutu and my jxd no longer gets hot...even sitting on a bed or pillow, so quicksilver did wonders in it

im thinking for taxes i may buy the 16gb russian version make the mods i did in mine then see if i can get tan and skeltons supercharged rom to work in it, i think combined with my temp and charging mods a new machine would prove to be unparalelled, and may handle the 1900mghz OC

quick silver is one of the top grade computer thermal pastes, i found the rockchip doesnt even fully contact the heatsink, the same as a few other chips on the same side, so i dabbed it on all the IC's that are under the thermal blanket and i dropped many degrees and the back wont raise over 100F even on a bed or blanket doing benchmarks

Excellent, thanks. I'll have to give it a try.

its worth doing if youre already planning on going into your tablet anyhow....also if you plan to supercharge it

also i hardwired my usb, im officially the first 7800b user that i know of to charge from the onboard micro usb jack with success

@buttmachine:  You wouldn't have any pictures of the mSD connector on the pcb, would you?  Would you say the solder leads on the card connector are 1mm or .5mm?

They are between 0.025-0.5 on the USB jack its the far pin closest to battery that is VCC+ 5v on the charge jack side its much bigger and the surface point is 1.0 mm or wider, I suggest you add extra solder to this point because I've seen 3 users have the pin get pushed in

As for photos I have a Sony bloggie HD and dingoonity site won't let me click post when I add photos to attachment

That link sent me to a site that wouldn't translate to English, it gave me an error     however I could email it to someone, though I should be able to post them here like everyone else.   I've never had issues with posting photos on a site, hell I could post my Facebook link and host them there if that works

My apologies man i swore to god it was this one but i guess lack of sleep made me assume it was the 7800

unfortunately i was a dumbass and forgot where i saw the motor mounting point it was on a different machine.

however i did solve the usb hardwire issue for charging.

also if i were to buy another 7800B where could i find it with the other 8gb on board or would it be easy to add the chip myself?

also this forum doesnt support high res photos so i cant post anything
Ah, that sucks got me all hopeful there for a minute.

You can use tinypic.com.. that's what I use don't even need an account to upload if you don't want.

How did you take the reading? does the SoC have a temperature sensor? if so what app did you use to access?
Did you happen to take any snap shots of that area, im curious what sort of heatsink it uses.

I used a crude way of having a digital thermometer probed into the back panel, in fairly sure its a few degrees off it read around 88-92 degrees when stuck to hot spots and of course the back almost never feels warm now

The heat sink is the metal plate that you find on the back of any IPS screen so it spans the whole device short of the buttons, also I'll pin a bookmark for the photo site on my PC, its still faster at this stuff than this 7800 but its catching up fast, I just need a ROM change I think

So tonight I'll just take photos of everything inside and out maybe clean up my jumper for the USB

And sorry again abt the motor thing I won't be up late working on stuff anymore

im uploading to tinypic now, i must say i have established technically these chips arent using the plate that is obviousely intended as a heat sink...but in my photos youll see how i solved it

youll see as well my fix for the charge pin...please excuse the burn on the box....i had a shakey hand during my first trial

Any pics related to the cooling

From the sound of it maybe a copper shim would help fill the gap
Search brought up nothing for me..
You can post pictures here from tinypic
