[S7800b] Question of quality/sellers
« on: December 05, 2013, 11:14:48 am »
Well, I hope it's self-explanatory. In the light of some angry users' rants I would like to know a real percentage of defective units and the most frequent problem. If you have more than one problem please vote for the one that bothers you most.
Please participate and unleash your rage in comments here, without flooding in other threads. Thank you.

Found out the other day that my headphone jack isn't working, plus the usual crackling from the speakers.
Other than that, package-wise, I'd hope for a better charger - the new custom firmware drains the battery quickly and I would've liked to play while charging without the fear of frying my device.

Really happy with mine. It does what I bought it to do. Emulation, some android gaming and some browsing. No complaints so far. :)

Edit: Got mine from willgoo.

No problems here. Maybe we should add where we got it from to see where the majority of defective units are coming from if that's the case. So I got mine from Willgoo.
This is my deep signature. Thank you.

Tbh they don't exactly have a history of releasing sources but if the stock firmware is ok then the custom tweaked ones should be good too. IIRC with the S601 the non-source community roms were very good and a massive improvement.

Maybe we should add where we got it from to see where the majority of defective units are coming from if that's the case. So I got mine from Willgoo.

Good idea!

Good idea, failrunner.
Mine is working perfectly, no complaints. Purchased from Willgoo.
Same here. Pre-ordered from Willgoo back in August, and I'm happy with it.

flaky touch screen and binding feeling in joysticks.. first it was right now left has the same problem.. they do actually work though, but I have a ghosting input on the right stick sometimes.

battery gauge is wildly inaccurate but I don't think that's specific to my unit.

Mine works perfect for now. There are some audio noises noticeable at minimal sound volume but it's not disturbing though. So I don't think it's a too big problem for such price and hardware.

Pre-ordered on Willgoo.com on September 9th. By the way I've received an extra screen protector today from Willgoo for free. It was a surprise for me. I didn't even know that he had sent it.

Mine works flawless so far. Very happy with it.
Paid full charge for it though, 185? which is... 250USD, yeah (incl port and VAT), so it better be. Got it from local importer who claims to check and setup all units, and claims to have no dead pixel insurance.

Bought mine directly from the JXD website. Delivery was prompt, however straight out of the box I have had problems with  the machine crashing whenever I load any software/ game. I have contacted JXD but had no reply from them to date  :'(

The original one I received had a slightly sticky R1 button.  It wasn't defective since it worked fine, but didn't always click out as quick as I would like.

I got a quick free replacement (no postage charge etc) and the second one is perfect.

Bought from Funstock in UK

Bought two from Banggood; one would freeze on android games until pogodancer rooted 4.4.4 upgrade , then nofrillscpu set to ondemand/deadline no more freeze.
Other can run lujji 1.7 nofrills set to interactive.
