[S7800]Pictures and info colections
« on: April 19, 2013, 02:41:45 pm »
Poster is out and sun posted some info on the specs so lets collect it all in a thread.

Known Specs:
7 inch IPS screen 1280 x 800
2 gigs of ddr3 ram
Quadcore chip(hope someone gets a better pic of the poster or jxd puts it up at the site)
Dual Stick (Split form dpad this time is what they told me)
slightly curved look
keeps the dual triggers from the 7300
analogs are smaller nubs now dpad seems a bit higher placed.
seems it has physical buttons for home/back on the front and start/select
I dont see the speakers anymore?(maybe on back now...)

Chip will be A31 almost sure. Not great if that's the case.

if its a31 it wil be a benx identical but with double triggers. I guess its about the price then, a31 is ok when compared to amlogic dualcore from 7300, not a real jump but say its 150 unit then its ok u still get 2g of ram and working dpad(benx is 150 so id guess the jxd would be around the same otherwise id just go with a benx has a better look just misisng 2 triggers plus look at the analogs jxd ones are ewww)

I personally won't go for any of the two I think. There are no relevant features to change from s7300 to one of those. Not enough money for so many devices.

Hmmm 1280 by 800 resolution?  Damn thats what the nexus 7 has.   That's 216 ppi, by comparison the iPad min has about 160 ppi.  Imma get me one of those.

Now if they can get 8-10 hours of battery life...

Also i'm a huge fan of physical buttons for home/back - i hate having to bring up the little menu bar and trying to touch the tiny back/home buttons with my gorilla fingers haha - it was actually one of the things i liked about the s5300

I have to say, I quite like the design.

What I'd really like to see is Bluetooth, and maybe a charging cradle (with HDMI, USB ports).

It'd the be a great emulation "console" as well as a portable.

someone from Softwin company (the people who actually manufature the device), told me it will be RK3188, and not Allwinner a31, but no idea. Let's see whrn it's officially anounced.

only benx confirmed to use allwinner 31 other devices still have hope for something sturdier (and perhaps easier to work with)

I think they need to finally get a new 5" out before they start pushing 7" again.

We're still waiting for the S5600B and S5800A, not to mention the S5110B (which I admit to having no interest in).

JXD are great at announcing products. Just not so great at releasing them :)

As far as I know, s5600B and s5800 won't be out after summer. I personally will go for s602 dual core If i buy any.
s602 is a wonderful device for emus (great d-pad and buttons), has slow resolution which is ideal for emus, just needed a bit more power and battery life. If s602 dual core fits that, will be my choice almost for sure. 7 inch are just confortable for me to play (I want a handheld, not a tab).

When will it be available?

I also like the ibenx gamepad but the sad thing is it have 2 trigger and jxd s7800 have 4 trigger.

Absolutely, it's a shame that 5 inch models will be still amlogic and not rockchip. They should have used RK3066 at least.

I think s7800 is using the allwinner A31 quad core chip and not a rockchip quad core.

But the biggest question is.. when is the S7800 out? Do we have any release dates?
Anyone want to take an educated guess?

Ah, so it is an A31. Got a link?
Is it a preorder or an actual order?
