Hello Guys,

We don't know yet if Exophase would port his awesome Nintendo DS emulator on Windows plateformes (x86/x64 systems), so I wanted to make a poll to convince him to consider it.

Right now, the only available option is Desmume and unless you have a powerfull computer, you won't be able to enjoy the improved GFX with the filters, or not even be able to enjoy it on your tablet/ultrabook/ notebook because the integrated GPU/CPU are too weak.

For exemple Desmume doesn't work well on the GPD Win, Atom Tablet, Core M, or Even on an old I7. Personally on my Razer Edge Pro, I can't use higher than a x2 resolution filter, Mario Kart will lag, and I don't expect much on a surface Pro 4 I7.

Of course would be nice. The problem is that Windows store is more restrictive regarding emulators than Play store. And i don't think he release It for free (or the source Code)

He is not obliged to use the windows store to sell it you know, many softwares are sold through dev websites.

I take Controller companion as exemple, you buy it through the website of the dev with PayPal (one of the options).

Yeah, but outside windows store is quite easy to crack an app unless he use some kind of DRM so that every app is associated to a computer or something like that. I suppose exophase wants to avoid piracy like he did on Android (now his app is almost uncrackable on Android).
But yeah, I suppose that if includes some anticopy measure would be nice. And certainly he would be rich.
(I would prefer he released source code though, so retroarch could have a core with it)

A while back Exophase told me he would be interested in porting it over to Windows.  Following that , I contacted Kendy to see if possibly GPD could send him a GPD WIN to entice him further to do it.

I never heard back from Kendy.  Maybe Kendy didn't see my email. Don't know, I never followed up.

Maybe he can setup a kickstarter to be funded first so he will get the bulk of his money before the piracy hits? I'm in for that.

nex86

if it has 3D acceleration and an option to increase the resolution I would defenitely pay for it.
the Win should be fast enough to emulate most games at full speed.

It won't work, the GPDwin has only one screen!

Just wanted to say that, even if it's not ideal, there's one more option. Drastic running in an Android emulator running on Windows: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-4eq2GU3nc

i would buy it for shore i think cracking should not be a deciding factor here because its already on android there are plenty of sites that you can got to to illegally download apks but lots of people just buy it anyway. i would gladly buy a windows version especially if it was around the same price as the android version.

Hey Exophase, I would buy it even if it costs $60! (well if it runs as well as the Android version).

tried that, its not ideal, it overheats the console to no limit and most 2d games runs very bad
