This is great, thanks!

Do you know if the polling rate on the game controls can be increased?

Right now it is impossible to play some games because the input polling rate is around 20hz. Most games are designed for at least a 60-100hz polling rate. If a game requires you to press a button and release it in under 50 milliseconds, you cannot do that action on the GPD Win.

Didnt you only mention wii/gc games as examplss? I seriously doubt its the wein , dolphin only runs semifullspeed with all speedhacks on and even then it struglles a bit, isnt it just thgr emulator thats running a bit slow? Try kof13 blazblue skullgirls street fighter 4 or the like for windows natively...

Lol, it's the Win and it's easily verifiable. If it was Dolphin running slowly, it would have even more time to poll for the next input. You can see it clearly with controller testing utilities as well. Many games on Dolphin also run at fullspeed.

A.  What is meant in Kendy's instructions by:

Quote
please use the U disk to install
What is 'U disk' ?

Did she mean USB flash drive or ??? ?

B.  What is 'WIN Drive' used for?

C.  What is 'WIN Sampling' used for?

D.  Just tried downloading the firmware files. It started downloading but after a few minutes, it stopped. I see message, 'Over Quota' in the 'Status' column. Also, a new window came up asking me to sign up and pay if I wanted to continue....

 ???

Any suggestions or other location to download files?

Thanks!

i have same question with ronc :

Quote
I'm confused by the use of the word "firmware" combined with the total size of the two files of 6.45 GB. In my experience, anything that can be deleted with a simple "format" or "fdisk" command is not firmware but should be called OS or user "software" or "data". Firmware is what stays on the PC even after a Format or Fdisk. That file size of 6.45 GB equals approximately two ISO images of Microsoft Windows 10. Can you please explain what those files are? For example, is it a factory image of the GPG WIN, including Windows 10 plus GPD specific drivers? Or is it firmware that is the UEFI/BIOS stuff completely separate from the C: drive. In any case, why so big???

Also, if I put those two files on a USB stick, plugged into the USB Type A connector, will the process be simple and straight forward. What will it do to the GPD WIN exactly?

I downloaded all the files but from the beginning it starts badly !!!
When I read the instructions I do not understand:
1, Format the U disk into NTFS format, drive name changed to "WINPE"
2, Extract the WINPE folder then copies the entire contents of the folder to NTFS U disk.
3, Insert the U disk to the device.

What is the u: disk USB ???
Extract the WINPE => I can not find any folder WINPE in both archives !!!

Do a correct procedure !!!!!

I always have my problem for the games in 3D, for info I also did this: https: //youtu.be/CiG-W_FiXX4 but it has nothing changed !!!!

Wait, so you want to tell me that if I want to update drivers etc, I have to format the disk, install Windows again and then reinstall all my software and redo all my settings? Though I guess I could download the 6GB "firmware" and somehow extract drivers from there.

Instead of just providing the drivers...

Hi Kendy,

It looks like the link for the BIOS update is dead. Can we have a new one please?

Thanks in advance.
