Which CPU do you wish for the GPD Win2?

CoreM: 100% faster than Win1, more expensive (Win2 would be $500).
51 (91.1%)
N4200: 15% faster than Win1, less expensive (Win2 would be $400).

What SoC is used in Smach Z though? And how does it compare in its performance to z8750 and to m3-7y30?

AMD Merlin Falcon RX-421BD (12-15w)

How it compares to the M3-7Y30 - no idea.  But it would probably decimate the Z8750
Here is one comparison: http://www.cpu-world.com/Compare/422/AMD_R-Series_RX-421BD_vs_Intel_Core_m3_m3-7Y30.html

In short, AMD technically seems more powerful, but uses tremendously more power and unless the Smach Z gets a 20k mAh battery, it will have very depressing battery life. Also it must overheat like hell.

That AMD chip has TDP you can set.  I belie they are considering using the lowest setting ie 12-15W, that is what it says on their Kickstarter page.  The M3 would probably be set at 7W.  So 7W vs 12W.  But yes, I agree, they will be needing a big battery.

Actually, if the AMD processor will be set to 12-15W (around 1/3 of its full TDP), it will be significantly underpowered and will probably have lower performance than m3-7y30

That is true for the last gen AMD APUs... but won't be the case for Zen derived APUs... just going off thier server CPUs (which are also targeted with tight thermal constrants they are around 4.5w for Zen 2 and 5-6 for Zen). With 1.4Ghz turboing to 3.1Ghz or so.

Exactly.

Also it will fuckin melt at that wattage.

People complain about the Win's heat but the Smach Z produces more than twice the heat.

I'm sure the Smach Z will fail if they don't use a different chip.

Even if they manage to cool it and get a massive battery, it will be really, really heavy.

Apparently the plan is for the Smach Z to have 4 cells of 3250 mAH, each cell weighing 60g ie 13000mAh and 240g , practically twice the size of the current WIN battery.  I'm guessing those are 18650 batteries. They are also planning a removable back cover

It will weigh a bit I guess
