I'm confused, is the blue colour on the blue XD just painted on on?
I was under the impression that the actual mould already came out of the plastics moulding machine in blue?

Yes it is painted on. There are places on mine that have an uneven coating. The plastic is a metallic grey/silver color with blue sprayed over it.

Im not sure if this is the case on the black version. Can owners of the black color let us know if the color is painted on or molded with in the plastic.

I would have enjoyed a metallic silver non painted model personally. Would have made more sense to offer 2 skus with a painted and unpainted version, unless the underlying plastic looked like pure shit. Guess we'll never know...

Lol was only messing too muCh trouble to send it back but I would want a discount at least to buy another one at a later date when quality issues have been resolved at least.

So, I assume this was the "molding" problem that was mentioned. They were probably having trouble applying the color coat.
