Snowman Reloaded

I proudly present Snowman Reloaded.

The original version was made 2 years ago for a competition and run on the gp2x, wiz, caanoo, dingux and pandora.
For another competition, which ended some days ago, I did a lot of improvements, I even implemented Compo4All!
So, what makes this game so special against other jump and runs?
First of all: You are a snowman. Secondly everything you do (except walking and hitting with your broom) costs snow. Advantage: You will find plenty of snow. Disadvantage: You are made of snow. So everytime you get hit by an enemy, you shoot, even if you jump: You will loose snow. So you have to economize your snow.

Furthermore to get a good score in C4A you also need to be fast in solving levels. "Solving levels" means: Kill as many enemies as prescribed.

This looks a cool game. But is it normal that when I press A, the snowman fires 3 snowballs? It drops my snow count by 6 in one key press...

Partly... Yes, if you press a specific button, you shoot 3 bullets. However this button should not be (A). And another button should shoot once - which you should use most of the times...
The button mapping should be:
  • (X) Shoot 1 bullet
  • (Y) Jump
  • (A) Use the broom if available
  • (B) Shoot 3 bullets
  • (R) Shooting your whole big belly
  • (L) Overlay help
What does the buttons actually do?

A is the broom yes, I meant B. Well looks like the game will be harder for me, my X button is dead :)

What a shame. The easy mode should be doable nevertheless. In this mode you don't have to economize thaaat much, but you can try to be the very fast, like no one ever was. Dum dum dumdum. To catch the snow is your real task, to shoot them is your goal.
You travel all across the level searching far and wide (dum dum dumdum) the snow flakes to understand the power that's insiiiide, Snowman!

Really nice game, smooth 3d. Nice concept, kinda hard though. If you don't miss some jumps you lost snow because of jump. Then you have to restart.

If you think this a hard, try the hard mode. Then you think before every jump and shoot. :D
