Regba and Pocketsnes no longer working

So i update my console to the newest firmware and now when i try to play a snes game it gets stuck on the loading screen saying done loading but i can hear sound. On regba it gets stuck saying loading per game settings but i can still hear the music. Please help.

Did you install only the 2014-08-20 upgrade?

Your problem is typical of a Zero not running the latest firmware.

go to the settings section in gmenu2x and click on "system info".

It should say the following:

Code: [Select]
Kernel version: 3.12.0-dingux+
Compiled on Wed Aug 20 17:08:39 CEST 2014

Root file system version: gbb847d4
Compiled on Wed Aug 20 18:52:01 CEST 2014

Mine says the kernel was compiled on sun May 4 23:46:31 cest 2014 and the root file system version is g0ab9e94 compiled on mon May 5 00:48:03 cest 2014.

Then you have the 2014-05-05 firmware, or just the anti-corruption mini update. Either way, it's not the latest firmware.
To be sure, (re)install the 2014-05-05 update, and then install the 2014-08-20 update.

If you want to have the latest firmware, you must install it. I suppose you know that you must execute the update app to install it. It doesn't magically update itself by copying the opk to the console.

Download the 2014-05-05 OPK, transfer it to the console, and then execute it and follow the instructions on screen to install it. After installing it, delete the opk. Then download the 2014-08-20 OPK, transfer it, execute it, and after installing, delete it.
It's a simple procedure.

Note that the icons are the same for all update apps, so you may accidentally execute the same update twice, thinking it's the newer one. That's why i advise to transfer the updates one by one and then delete them, so there is no possibility of confusion.

And what did you check?
Just the emulators or the kernel date?
Check kernel date,  is it right or wrong?
If right, reinstall latest emulators and only backup the necessary and remove the config and other things that might interfere.
If wrong, then something went wrong installing the firmware update. Check during installation if some error message occurred and post it here.
I am basically asking everything you should have provided yourself already, so we can actually help you.
Don't expect solutions to automatically pop up, if you do not provide any information.

I installed all the updates again and now it works! Thank you all for your help. I am very sorry i dont know what info to provide i am very new to anything that does not run Windows.
