What's wrong with the WiFi?

It works fine here with the included software (under "applications" and "settings").

The G-Sensor is kind of implemented, but requires an application from the unofficial repository. But I'm waiting for the next firmware, since I've heard that the input will be reworked. Though, there's still very little software that can use the G-Sensor.
My Hocoslamfy highscore: 107. Also try Freedroid for GCW0!

Wireless program can't login to any network
Gcw connect program goes to home screen

System information shows

Network interfaces
Usb0 10.1.1.2

If you bought a unit from the Thinkgeek batch (maybe someone resold it via ebay) updating to the current firmware will stop your wifi from functioning because it tries to load the wrong driver. The next firmware will introduce a new iteration of GCW Connect that will replace the old wifi application and it will include the correct drivers for Thinkgeek units. You can figure out if your unit is from this batch if your unit doesn't include screen protectors.

He bought it from ebay. Someone could have installed it. Johnny said it was just a proof of concept.

The gsensor application only works with the older firmware. I remember using it to play Descent.

Really? I've installed it on mine KS unit (with the latest firmware), and I tried the application. After running it (hmm., there's some problems detecting the input device unless I put it on the table before running), I can move the cursor around in the menus, although that is quite awkward way to use the menu, but it works. The "zero" point is when the device is laying flat, so not very usable. And, I have nothing else to test it with ;)

The gsensor chip should not be changed in the GCW Zero revisions, probably the gsensor application doesn't work because it's not compatible with the drivers embedded in the current firmware...

Johnny's g-sensor driver only works with prototype units (256M ones). There were hardware changes in the retail units (KS batch and beyond) and as I understand, Johnny's g-sensor driver doesn't work on them anymore. A new driver would need to be written.

I do not understand, that the utility has Gsensor in a little machine like this?
games that would take advantage of the increased performance?

I agree that the Gsensor isn't the most useful feature in a type of device like the GCW Zero, but it could be used in some interesting way, for example to turn left/right in a racing-game ! ;)

Still pointless.
The only actual usage would be for dedicated games (something to do with a ball, for example), or emulated g-sensor based games like Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble or WarioWare Twisted.

This is probably why g-sensor has a very low priority for OpenDingux developers and they are more likely to focus on more important to them features.
