internal sd question
« on: September 01, 2014, 04:59:26 pm »
i've recently lost my zero :(
it was a fun time with her but now she's dead as dillinger
but i'm kinda a necrophiliac and want to use (at least part of her)
so i cut her open and retrieve her memories
but i wanna know how i can extract some stuff from a pc and then format to a normal micro sd that works on pc
thanks in advance, see ya (and have fun with your zero!)

The internal SD card is formatted as Ext4. You'll have to use Linux or a program like Paragon to be able to read the files.

are you sure your zero is dead, or could it be a fubar'd internal sd?

i too had sadly resigned that my GCW was toast, but wanted to salvage the internal sd to use with my wii (as my micro sd collection is running low).
but when i plugged the internal sd to my pc it wouldnt read it at all, and got physically super-duper hot. it is now much better suited for cooking tiny eggs and minibacon on rather than hold information =P

anyhow, to make a boring story long, i found a 2gig and used snesfans windows tool to flash the firmware onto it.

it done did worked, and now my gcw lives again! =D

Make sure your zero is really dead before do anything wrong. Try to flash your zero with a new os.
