Deleting the applications folder
« on: October 01, 2016, 03:54:40 am »
So I deleted the applications folder but as soon as I use reset the gcw it gets back twice!
One with all the 6 pre instalked apps and one with just the explorer.
How can I prevent this and why does it come back twice?

It's a gmenu2x bug related to a fact that some applications come built-in, while others are added to the menu during an OPK scan.
You cannot prevent a deleted section from becoming recreated if there is an OPK that uses it.
In general I believe that an option to manually create/delete sections should be removed, because it is such a rarely used feature.

Thanks for your explanation. I was trying to make OS look a bit less complex by deleting it and now I have to live with the applications folder being shown twice, lol. That will teach me from doing that again.  ;D
So now the only option for me to fix this is re-install the firmware and don't touch that delete button again?
Will there be some future firmware updates that will fix this?

No, it will get back to normal after you re-launch gmenu2x again.

Will there be some future firmware updates that will fix this?
Presumably, yes.

Ha, after turning the machine off a couple of times all is back to normal. Thanks!
