Can't connect to local 802.11
« on: December 29, 2013, 10:45:30 pm »
This is all I have to go on, from my AP. MAC address obscured.
Code: [Select]
Sun Dec 29 17:39:52 2013 daemon.info hostapd: wlan0: STA de:ad:be:ef:de:ad IEEE 802.11: authenticated
Sun Dec 29 17:39:53 2013 daemon.info hostapd: wlan0: STA de:ad:be:ef:de:ad IEEE 802.11: No WPA/RSN IE in association request
Every time I try to connect, that's the only indication I can see that anything's even happening. The Zero is the only device with any trouble connecting to my setup, and I've had it up and running for a couple of years. The AP's running a recent build of Openwrt with 802.11n hardware.

What channel/frequency are you using? What encryption, authentication method? Does it work on a 802.11b/g AP? The Zero's WiFi is officially 802.11n but I highly doubt it's MIMO or that it supports the 5GHz band.

2.4GHz ISM band, CH 11, WPA2-PSK, CCMP forced (AES), 63-char PSK set by hand via telnet due to the GUI shortcomings. I have no other WAPs to test with at this time.

Wait, let me guess: the 59-character limit I see in the app's interface is a hard (but artificial) limitation, so it's not going to work with my 63-character PSK, is it?

If not, it's not me. It's the Zero. :)

I suggest you wait a bit, the next firmware handles network differently, and the configuration tool will be completely different.
