The GCW devteam is currently busy with core functionality, however an idea of a matchmaking application with UDP holepunching for NAT traversal has already been discussed. Naturally this would be a major task and required all the main developers to focus on it. So this probably won't happen in the near future, at least not when there is still hardware/driver related stuff to do.
Keep in mind at this moment we don't even have a gui to set up the wifi connection. You need to modify a script to set your ESSID and WEP/WPA password. And that's only for setting up the connection. Each game has a different way of starting a net gameplay. Some expect you to pass the server ip as a commandline argument, some do the same from an in-game menu, yet another have a built-in server browser.
So we're still at the beginning here, need to face all these issues first. This was never done before as it's the first (second if you count Pandora) open handheld to have a built-in wifi and actually have games that support this functionality (unlike Wiz/Caanoo where the wi-fi dongle was a useless gadget).
On a side note, if we get USB OTG to work, I'd like to support USB networking connection to Dingoo A320 to play games with it (think of it like a USB link cable connection between the two devices).
