Basic question about Roms.
« on: January 30, 2017, 07:40:34 am »
I currently do not own a CCW zero and would like to know how the Roms are stored. Can they be put on a micro SD card and still be used? Do the emulators open Roms from anywhere if I were to have a new micro SD card and put them in folders with the console names for organization purposes?

Rom images can either be stored on the internal memory OR an external MicroSD card. Yes, the emulators open Roms from either internet/external.

I actually store mine inside squashfs files and put them on microsd cards, and mount them to somewhere in /home/data with a script I wrote, which saves space in some cases.

But yeah, most of the emulators should allow you to select them from anywhere in the filesystem unless there's a hardcoded path for some reason (I can't remember any instances).
