hi guys. After having dingux installed for the last 6 months I am finally starting to use it as my dedicated OS. But I have a question. When I am caching my neo geo games do I put the neo geo bios in the exact same folder as the neogeo zip file? So if my roms for caching are going in C:\fba\roms that is where I put the neo geo bios as well?
Does the Neo Geo bios go in the folder as a zip or the actual contents inside the zip?
Also... What is the difference between the .bat and the .exe files in the fba cache folder

The NeoGeo Bios goes in zip format in the same folders, as the roms you want to convert to fba.
I am not sure, what you mean with the bat file, but if I remember correct, there was a batch file floating through the web, that converts ALL NeoGeo Roms from a mame romset to fba, I think this is what you mean.
If you only want to convert single games, just use the exe file, as it is described in the readme.txt of the emulator.

cheers for that... my next question is.. DO I need some sort of special neo geo bios or will the one taken from the native mvs emulator do.. basically i have tried a few different bios zips and when i try to convert a neo geo rom with the bios as well but the cache tool shits itself and windows doesn't let the caching finish?

Don't know, I used the one from Mame, this worked fine. Of course, you can take one from a special fba set as well, should be the same. Which error reports fbacache.exe? It also can be the rom you try to convert (which I think is more likely).

You need to put the neogeo bios (neogeo.zip) in the roms folder together with the roms (also zip files) you wish to convert. Then you run fbacache.bat and it should convert all roms in the roms folder to .fba.
