Dingux (Dingoo Linux) > Help
Dingoo just arrived! So, What now?
Bouvrie:
So far, I've only been able to fix this with a reformat of the card.
Interestingly, I made a testcase out of it, formatting the card to Fat32 on both Windows 7 x64 and Windows XP x86. I found that the Windows 7 formats (with both native format and Panasonic SD card formatter) kept hanging on the splash screen, whereas the native WinXP x86 format worked like a charm.
Goon:
Following the recently posted FAQ guide, have you managed to get it working yet Absent?

Good question. Trying a new trick. let you know how it works out.
That's an awesome FAQ, I gotta say.
Edit: Hmm. Downloaded the Panasonic thing. So far no luck though. Maybe I'm formatting it wrong. Going to keep throwing spaghetti at the wall, see if something sticks.
Edit2: Progress! Did the Panasonic thing right last time around, and I'm no longer stuck on the splash screen! hot damn!!! Unfortunatley not total success yet, kernal panic error now, gonna look through the excellent new FAQ for help about that one. Still, something stuck. Not bad.

Okay...tried it on a different microSD card, same result, kernal panic error. message reads:
Reading kernal command line
FATAL: cannot mount dev/mmcb1k0,/dev/mmcb1k0p1 on boot
(17)
kernal panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!
My seizure-prone brain didn't like the flashing screen too much... Ayeeesh...Anyway, this is happeing with toddlers 32+32a, and 31. Interesting error message. If anybody knows what it means I'd very much appreciate the translation, otherwise I'm just going to reformat the SD card and try again tomorrow when my brain's unscrambled. Open to a better plan if you've got it.
Thanks to all so far. Goon, buddy, when you finally get you Dingoo, and I hope that day comes soon...Don't do what donnie don't does.
Goon:
Lol. I'll try not to! :D
I placed my order earlier today with Chinavasion(EDIT: AND it has already been shippped.. Man that's fast!). Canceled order from DX and got refunded almost instantly, so can't complain about that!
Wish I could help you a bit mate, but I got nothing. :-[
