Dingux (Dingoo Linux) > Help

Another newb dingux question........sorry

(1/1)

zizbuka:
I have dingux running off the mini-sd, with santino's local pack.  Now I'm not sure what to do next.  My native, local flash is running fine, with a bunch of gba, nes, genesis, neogeo roms, so all's good there.

Are the 2 'drives' independent?  ie. Is there any way when booting into dingux to see the local flash drive?  If not I guess I have to put the same roms on the mini-sd?  Seems inefficient, but not a big deal I guess.  Be nice if I could create a soft link to the local flash roms.

Thanks for the help

qbertaddict:
As long as your sd card is formatted fat 32 you can use the roms on the sd card for the native and dingux then use the onboard ram for movies and emus that dingux does not run. Im tired i hope that makes sense

santino:
It have to be fat32, because the kernel doesnt understand ext3 anymore. :D
So put the roms on your sdcard and you could use it also with your native firmware.

qbertaddict:
Some use the old kernel and rootfs that why I said that....... but remember do not set the default allocation size of the sd to anything higher than 16 when you format otherwise the native firmware will not see it. Just use default allocation size...actually maybe its nothing higher than 32 hum cant remember im tired just use the default allocation size...Im rambling I need sleep...Have fun

zizbuka:
Thanks, now I'm good.  Have to figure out how to configure the emulators, location of roms, etc. but I'll read up on that.

Cool little gadget.
