Psgroove for ps3 ported to Dingux
« on: September 05, 2010, 09:55:03 am »
Dingo owners have another reason to be happy as Waninkoko completes his port of the ps3groove to the dingoo, at present i believe he's looking for beta testers.

On his Twitter account, he posted the following - "You have a Dingoo (with Dingux) and a PS3?
Contact me :P (private message......." So it looks like the Dingoo will join the N900 and potentially PSP in the category of PS3 hack enablers.

This has now been officially realeased

just been tweeted, available in 30 - 60 mins,

can this be ported to native as my mini sd slot is trashed, was thinking of soldering a micro sd direct to the board but need pinouts of board and card if anyone has done this.

cheers

EDIT: it's out but the link is saying unavailable on megaupload :-(

@ chipy: A similar mod was done by strider_mt2k, whose slot lost a pin, unfortunately the topic was in the old (deleted) forum...
But there is one pic of it in this post.
Dunno if soldering the card directly to the board would work, sounds a bit overkill though when probably only a small part broke off.  ;D

Can?t wait for all those PS3 hackers to come in and ask how to install Dingux...  ;)

I purchased it faulty and the mini sd slot had been removed, all thats left are the solder pads inside, it does have the dual boot installed, just need a memory card soldered to it so i can use this exploit.

cheers

it is really?
if ps3 can run on dingoo, why not to optimize ps4all first?

i think they firstly shouldly optimize ps1... ::)

It's a PS3 'jailbreak' that allows you to run homebrew & backups. A softmod for the PS3, basically.

Either my Dingoo or PS3 doesn't like me because no matter how many times I do it, I get the same PS3 XMB. What am I doing wrong here? I know I got the right version of zImage. And Dingux isn't erroring out with anything. Any ideas?

instructions seem a bit vague in the readme,
so do you only have the zimage for your lcd on the root of your memory card, and hold select while starting dingoo to get it to work?

what is the patch for and where does that go?

cheers in advance.
