Oh I thought due to the size of it it was an updated 0.31 with psx4all pre-configured.

I'm having the same problem as Athlon.  Actually, I was able to download it before, but the 3 times I tried the download kept ending before it was done (so I had a <250mb corrupt file).  Now I can't even start downloading.

Terrible, terrible hosting service.  Please upload somewhere usable.  Heck, a torrent would be fine.

-edit- and for reference, it's not a bad net connection.  At home I've got very reliable (albiet slow) DSL.  At work I have a blazing fast ethernet connection - 6-9MB/second download speeds (that's megaBYTE not megaBIT) are not uncommon.  In short, my connection is not the issue.

I had the same issue with the corrupted file. I had to wait about 3 hours before I could dl it again correctly, even so the connection was so slow it took 55 min just to download it. I agree with opinckc, a different hosting service needs to be in order. I'll see what i can do about hosting the current release with the upgrade on my site. give me a lil bit and ill get back to you.

Be aware that it has the ipu-enabled kernel (to make mplayer work) and it can impact the performance in emulators.

athlon - Thanks!  I did finally get the uploading.com file to work but I greatly appreciate you hosting the updated one!

toddler - Thank you for making this package!  Everyone involved for their work as well!

remax - do you have more info on the ipu-enabled kernel?  How much of a performance hit?  Are there any compatibility issues (either apps that work or don't work) other than mplayer requiring it?

Thanks again for the help!

It's only a supposition made by the ones who released mplayer : if i don't make a mistake, ipu require memory and it might impact apps that needs a lot of memory. I have not heavily tested this kernel but i felt a little loss of performance sometimes.

But i have not tested applications like psx4all that might be more impacted.

As i know, only mplayer needs ipu. Myself, i put back the zimage of 0.31 (that have the shutdown code but not the ipu enabled) and erased mplayer and had no problem with everything else.

Ipu is used only to play RMVB videos. I think if you donīt use rmvb, you still can play videos in mplayer with older zImage. But I will test it in my house (im in unniversity now).

By the way, iīm using kernel with IPU enabled and scoring the same FPS in PSX emulation. Actually, Cotton is marked at slow here, and Im playing it at 45~50 fps consistenly. (sorry, my english is a little bad, Im working hard to improve it!).

Im planning to release a new update in the next days, if you think its better to remove mplayer, I will remove it. Thatīs not a big deal, because the native player is a very competent one  Wink

Thanks for uploading all the stuff Toddler.
Do you plan making smaller update packages, like you did earlier (on other forum)?

p.s. There is also nice 'Simple' theme/skin ( http://boards.dingoonity.org/dingux-games-and-homebrew/dmenu-simple/ ) that you can add in further updates.

I really don't want to download 250mb+ every week or so...

Can anyone tell me how to install DoomGoo and the TI-91 and Dingux Write as well?

I'm super stuck on these problems...
